Oh wait.

Nobody is saying that any of us should have the authority.

But when some people repeatedly show they are not smart enough to keep bringing kids into the world that they can't care for, and put a drain on society, then someone, whether thats the government, or whoever is in charge, should have the power to prevent these people from reproducing anymore.

Or at best, force them to give the child up for adoption.

Like I posted earlier. If the government pays to have your child delivered, then they should confiscate it and put it up for adoption to a family that can afford to raise the child properly.

Don't want the government taking your kids from you? Don't have kids you can't afford to have, or wait till you can afford to have them.

End welfare, entitlements and gov't meddling, increase education of what causes kids, what contraception is and how to use it and the problem will be greatly reduced.

Ending welfare would also work.

But then, a lot of these poor families are going to have their kids taken away due to even poorer living conditions.

So yeah, we are both kinda getting at the same thing. The government makes it far to easy for a lot of these poor families and even borderline people to have a kid without spending any of their money, how little that may be.

Sterilization is necessary because most of these dumbasses just don't get it. They aren't going to be responsible on their own, so the government should basically intervene and force it upon them.

Is it wrong? Probably, but it's the price they should pay for putting a drain on society.


I think everyone should have their shit snipped or tied at birth.

Over the course of your life, you should earn the right to have your shit reversed and allowed to have a kid.

Half these people giving birth can't even take care of themselves, let alone a kid.

I'm a weirdo and collect eugenics texts from the turn of the century. But it's really interesting reading the "science" that people believed in at the time that gave rise to sterilization programs. Those books also usually have lots of wacked out shit in regards to masturbation, child rearing, STDs, etc.

Eaton, I agree with you that forced sterilization is wrong. I also feel being forced to pay for other peoples kids is wrong as well. (genius, just bc govt doesnt do something doesnt mean it has to stop. Charities can handle much of this and people will have a choice of supporting them)

While I dont think either of those will ever happen/change. Would you support, in order to receive welfare, one having to take BC every month? Seems like a good alternative/solution.

Everyone has seen Idiocracy. No matter which way you spin it, this doesn't end well.

A "social safety net" is a great idea if you could find a way to avoid the negative consequences. I don't know how to say it without coming across as insensitive, but people like to believe that we've outlived evolution, and that "thinning of the herd" is something we don't have to deal with anymore. Everyone can live whatever life they want, and if it gets bad enough, the government (i.e. the rest of the population) should cover the cost.

It's a vicious cycle, and more/better welfare isn't going to solve it. Fuck, even if the government suddenly was unable to provide welfare due to financial insolvency, poor people would steal everything there is to steal. Honest people can choose one of two poisons: get ransacked by the ultra-rich or the poor. There will always be factions that want to live at the expense of the productive class.

The white welfare clerk woman told her that under the circumstances, she hopes that she is careful not to get pregant again. I was thinking "That seems reasonable."
