"I actually use hubs, not as short for husband, even though it is, but because it's short for the pet name I call him (habibi). I won't use his name on a message board, and y'all wouldn't know who the hell I was referring to anyways. So, I'll "be a grownup" and call him whatever comes out when I type. I'm not worried about what other people want me to call him...

^I love that. I will totally call him Mr. Beethoven. Much better than DH (Dear Husband), that really drives me up the wall.

fuck 'em, they are just being cranky today bc the egg hunt hasn't started and they want to bitch at someone.

I am soooo ready for this egg hunt business. Crankiness is a valid emotion to display in the meantime.

seafood, I go to http://hillsqualityseafood.com/ in Exton for fish and seafood, I won't eat that crap at Giant. (I may do Wegman's every now and then but they ship from all over the world, ie- shrimp from vietnam)

so if the shrimp is shipped, half way across the world, it's totally of exceptional freshness, right

If it's immediately frozen after it's caught...

Flash frozen on the boat is how most "fresh" seafood gets places. They just thaw it out when it gets there. I thought everyone knew that?

i meant that as an example of what I wouldn't buy to eat not just from a freshness standpoint but also because of the carbon footprint and the impact it has on the local community (in this case, Vietnam)

Vietnam makes fantastic cinnamon. You can buy it at Penzey's.

Do cuts of meat count? If so, I've definitely been "top-shelfing" it with beef.

pretty much all my motorcycle gear and parts.

for instance I could get these boots for $100 new

but I'm buying these for $450

why? because I've watched a guy walk away from a collision in the second while a guy in the first was left with a flesh sack of foot bone in mostly the same collision

Vacuum cleaners.

My mother has had the same Rainbow for as long as I can remember. She just recently got a new one.

Nothing else feels as clean and fresh when you're done.
