yeah, it makes people like romney look bad, but i really don't think a low capital gains tax is the evil a lot of people make it out to be. first, because of what ^ said, and also because many capital gains are a result of situations where you stand to lose money as well. of course you can lose your job, but you don't risk losing money by earning a salary/wage.

if it were up to me the income tax would be replaced by consumption taxes since it violates the 4th amendment for everyone and the 5th amendment if you received income from criminal activity.
