Nah, there is that, but there are definitely times when glennon is just off and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.
Streaky is a good way to describe him. 11/26/2012 10:58:15 AM |

Mike Glennon, North Carolina State Wolfpack -- The Nick Foles of the upcoming draft class will be a mid- to late-round pick because his unique size (6-6, 232) and quick release will be too intriguing for an NFL team to pass up. His highlight tape features some eye-popping throws, but his "lowlight" tape shows the inconsistencies that plagued Glennon and the Wolfpack throughout his career. 12/10/2012 8:49:23 AM |

Great write up on Glennon on the Senior Bowl website. Basically he's great and the talent around him is suspect at best and through the pre-draft process could possibly be the top rated QB by the time of the draft.

In many of the draft boards I have seen recently, Glennon is the top QB off the board. It's hard to see all the insider stuff, but you can get it secondhand off other websites.
It surprised me, but Mel Kiper has said things very similar in his tweets as well. 12/13/2012 11:54:04 AM |

Was pretty surprised to hear Kiper say Glennon would probably be the number one qb taken, don't pay attention to the pre draft stuff and always thought Barkley would be the clear number one. Would be pretty cool if we had three nc state alumni starting at qb in the nfl. 12/13/2012 9:46:26 PM |

His GPA in the MALS masters study, which centered largely on leadership and sports management, was in the 3.8 range on a 4.0 scale."

Yeah mobility is key in todays nfl. Even if you arent a scrambler you've got to be able to buy time like a roethlisberger at least. I don't like his chances at being a great pro but he definitely didn't have much talent around him. Our running game was a joke the last two years.
I think if he's around In the third round though even as a decent backup QB with upside potential he'd have values 12/14/2012 4:01:50 PM |

Peyton manning gets away with it because he reads the defense so well.
brady has amazing pocket presence so the point stands. 12/14/2012 8:27:54 PM |
jbrick83 All American 23447 Posts user info edit post |
It's easy to have pocket presence when you have 5 seconds to throw the ball a majority of the time and you have receivers that are actually open. It's much more difficult when your running back hasn't even had time to run his safety valve route and your WRs can't get any separation.
If Glennon doesn't fuck up at the senior bowl and combine/pro day...he's going first round. 12/14/2012 9:25:08 PM |

Quote : | "Just for kicks, after watching Russell Wilson toy with the Bills for three hours while T.J. Graham suffered through a severe case of the dropsies, I decided to take a look back at the Bills' draft history for some answers. Think of this as a public service as they move forward in search of a quarterback. ..... And that's how teams miss the playoffs year after year. Sunday's loss marked the 13th consecutive year the Bills fell short of the postseason, giving them a baker's dozen of doughnuts. You can only hope they lose the final two games, improve their draft position and finagle a way to take N.C. State quarterback Mike Glennon." |

Surrounded by duds all year. No Mustafa Greene, WR/TE/RBs can't catch, bad O-Line. Amazing the hate Glennon gets when he and Wolff were clearly the best and only NFL caliber players we had this year. Look at what RW did when he went to Wisconsin. Night and Day difference. RW and Glennon were pretty comparable while at NCSU. Glennon and Ryan, who he gets compared to, are comparable as well.
Glennon (SR) 330-564 (58.5%) 31 TDs, 17 INTs, 4031 yards Ryan (SR) 388-654 (59.3%) 31 TDs, 19 INTs, 4507 yards
First round pick and possible NFL starter and gets shitted on by half his college fans.
