Go ahead and get your tickets. They go up in price to 115 in June I think. Basically, you fill out the crap on the website, they send you a post card, you bring the post card down to DragonCon you get your Badge for the weekend.

oh man Wraith! There's like a whole section for brit sci fi with panels all day, every day. Last year they even had a panel for brit sci-fi apocalypse shows like the day of the triffids, survivors etc

I've never been to either, but the impression I get is that sdcc is a bigger event for the comic and scifi industries, Keith more announcements and preview and panels, but dragoncon is better as a celebration of all things nerd culture by the fans.

But that is uninformed opinion of course.

Less than 100 days! I hope you all are stoooooooked.

I *probably* am not going to bring Thanos because the body paint isn't great for quick changes. I'm wearing it to Heroscon in Charlotte in a couple weeks though. Along with Hippolyta from Fearless Defenders and Carrie Kelley Robin. Should be a fun little con! I'm also working on a Star Trek TOS skant to party in this weekend.

I've got like six or seven commissions to finish before DCon and a crap ton of little stuff for people, so I'm not sure what I'll have done for myself in time... I'm in some invite only Marvel vs DC photoshoot Friday as 1982 PowerGirl so I guess I have to do that. For sure Enchantress with an Asguardian group, Carrie, Hippolyta, and maaaaaybe Gaige. There will be 3650988 BL2 characters running around so I won't be too ripped up if I don't make the photoshoot... There are a few girls going using my patches, so it would be cool to see them but idk, there just aren't enough hours in the day. I'm not a fan of the cell shade look so I don't "match" the other cosplayers as well. Whatev.


I haven't locked in the others but I'd like to do a Warhammer 40K commissar (one of my bffs is a professional mini painter so it would be a sweet collaboration), something from Injustice: Gods Among Us (hoping Rose Wilson shows up...), and something from this season of the Venture Bros. I need something slutty for Sunday night....

Ha, no where close to the extent that you have, but yes. I'm doing Rorschach and either Walter White or Dr. Hugo Strange from Arkham City (both are different styles of facial hair, so I can only do one of them). I might do something cheesy as well like boba fett robe + mask.

Either way, I'm definitely stoked and glad I'm getting a host hotel this time.

Me too! I still haven't gotten to read the AU issue because my comic shop sold out before I could get there on Wednesday. I'm still working on it, but have the wig and armor mostly finished. I got to read the AU issue early - went to C2E2 and the editor for Fearless Defenders was there with the issue.

It's pretty good, and it's allllll Hippolyta (so def read it soon!).

^^Do you or anyone you know sew? Making your own will probably be the best option, but you might be able to find an asymmetrical lab coat online.
