I'm still up on AAPL.
4/19/2013 2:53:51 AM
I haven't liked apple as a company for a few years, but the stock has looked good up until it became clear that they had no idea whatsoever to do with all the cash they had on hand. I think they'll hit 300 before they hit 450 again.[Edited on April 19, 2013 at 12:52 PM. Reason : sdfsdf]
4/19/2013 12:51:41 PM
Yeah, I bought a little on the runup but still prefer solid blue chips like IBM over AAPL any day.

It's mind boggling that at some point in the next 12-18 months their cash on hand could be the same as their market cap. It's about 40% right now, which is ridiculous. I'm sure they have some good reason, but I don't understand why they haven't made some kind of attempt at an acquisition, either of some kind of entertainment or tech company. Why wouldn't apple look at acquiring a chip manufacturer or start being aggressive with what Apple TV could be?

4/22/2013 11:11:48 PM
Had some NFLX put to me at $170 yesterday. Naturally I immediately sold $170 covered calls on it at $14.70/share.
4/23/2013 9:53:34 AM
Any of you catch the twitter crash today?I was watching XIV when it fell, but I was just a tad bit too slow. Should have just thrown in a market order. Bid/Ask when coming up was complete chaos. And now I bet we're going to have people trying to exploit these trading algo's.
4/23/2013 11:49:25 PM

4/23/2013 11:51:07 PM
Wish I hadn't closed those calls I bought on BA when it was $75.

If you can call the top on TSLA and have the stomach and balls for it there is gonna be some money to be made buying puts. That thing is ridiculously overpriced right now and is being driven higher I can only assume from a short squeeze. It was making ridiculous intraday swings last week and i suspect that will continue after todays big run again.
5/28/2013 3:40:36 PM
Been eyeing CSX Thoughts?
5/30/2013 3:04:55 PM
I bought LULU puts at about 3pm today in anticipation earnings may be bad due to the whole pants recall thing. Instead I get the CEO stepping down and the stock tanking after hours. If this holds into open tomorrow I stand to more than double up my account . Which means of course by open tomorrow it will be in the green haha
6/10/2013 4:40:18 PM
Got pretty lucky with that one but 192% gain in under an hour of trading time is fine by me Not to mention I turned right around and bought some calls at the 69.50 area hoping for a nice bounce from here to add some more onto that.[Edited on June 11, 2013 at 9:54 AM. Reason : woo]
6/11/2013 9:53:31 AM
Based on the options that I have expiring tomorrow this is just about the perfect day for the market to do this.
6/20/2013 2:22:02 PM
bought some EDC today
6/20/2013 4:37:04 PM
I almost lucked into a big gain on a fuckup yesterday had a put order in on top of one I had already bought and forgot I was out of day trades currently to avoid PDT limit so I cancelled order although 5 of like 60 contracts went through that I had to hold today. Made over double on those five selling today but sure would have been happy had all 60 gone through before I cancelled haha. Granted at the time I would have freaked out knowing I had no choice but to hold till today.

I have a tender offer for my Sprint stock, but I am not going to accept the offer, however, I am just curious on what you guys think. Please give tips based on your experience with a tender offer. This is the first time I have ever encountered it. It sort of makes me want to buy more Sprint stock.^ I really want to get into that kind of trading but I am SKURD [Edited on June 21, 2013 at 11:18 AM. Reason : /]
6/21/2013 11:18:01 AM
Bought 62.50 July LULU calls when it hit 60 today. Here is to hoping it moves up more on Monday. As for sprint unless you want to own the new company if its tendered at 7.65 I'd take it. Market is saying it won't be worth that after merger hence why it's not trading at 7.65 but that's my opinion.
6/21/2013 6:17:18 PM
But I think in the long term, and I belive that 10 years from now it could be worth much more than $7.65, even adjusting for inflation. I have until July 5 to think about it, so I will try to see what other people are saying as well.I do want to own Sprint [Edited on June 21, 2013 at 9:28 PM. Reason : /]
6/21/2013 9:27:47 PM
The other option is to take the tender and then wait till after the merger and buy back in. If the market believed the new stock would trade at an equivalent of 7.65 that's what it would be trading at. I'm assuming the tender offer is for 7.65 the stock is trading around 7 so you do the math.
6/22/2013 7:25:55 AM
Dump all of your $ into INO!!!!111
6/29/2013 12:24:13 AM
I converted my Sprint shares Scottrade still charged me $25, wtf maynne!
6/29/2013 1:43:10 PM
Just another heads up...you should really get into INO while it is this cheap. Their peer-reviewed HIV results are being published this month (which are apparently phenomenal), expect it to push $2 in the weeks following. It's going to have a $20+ pps sooner rather than later. ^I bought 500 shares at $.94 a couple days ago. It immediately dropped, which perfectly aligns with my trading history. Now up to $.97!! If it gets to $1.50, I will buy you a beer.
7/8/2013 12:00:47 PM
i almost bought it then i thought about hot stock tips especially penny stocks and dint buy any. Good luck with your investment gambling!
7/8/2013 12:05:41 PM
This is definitely not something I would do very often. Penny stock advice from TWW? I am just asking to lose money (Really, taking ANY advice from TWW is just asking for trouble). But I wasn't doing much else with it, and my trading history is not great anyway. So whats some small insider trading going to hurt?
7/8/2013 12:36:45 PM
^^ it's hardly gambling at the current price...they have way too many promising things in the pipelinethe journal publication for their HIV results are supposed to be out within the next couple of weeks and you're going to be kicking yourself in the ass for watching from the sidelines
7/8/2013 2:51:13 PM
INO is over $1 in early trading!!
7/9/2013 9:58:53 AM
I should go ahead a buy a little bit of this stock!
7/9/2013 10:00:36 AM
I had a little extra cash floating around in my brokerage account so I bought 150 shares of this INO since it seems like an easy gamble. I got in at $1.03 so hopefully I did not miss the run-up completely. I guess I should check this thread more. Let's see if I regret not buying 1500 shares in a couple months.I rarely buy stocks unless I see a great deal. Got in on Intel last year when it fell to sub-$20, but that hasn't worked out as well as I hoped. Still Intel's fundamentals are good and the growth of cloud computing will help it recover from the PC drought. Bought Tyson when it plummeted to around $15 and that has worked out solidly. I really only do stocks because keeping cash in the bank is boring and earns jack squat.
7/9/2013 1:30:59 PM
^you will regret not buying 15k shares!GREAT close today...HCH may be buying me a beer this week
7/9/2013 4:02:59 PM
^ wow you may be right. Closed at $1.20 today. How do you know so much about this company - do you work for them??
7/9/2013 4:15:20 PM
Nah I don't work for them, just keep track of their conference presentations. They say when results and trial are coming out, progress, etc.If you want to keep track of it, the Yahoo forum seems to be the most activefinance.yahoo.com/mb/INO/There's a lot of good updates/news on it
7/9/2013 4:24:32 PM
Incoming classic pump and dump.Although like FNMA, it's always amusing to watch.
