The last C6

^^

I've always been dumbfounded at that video.

First of all, how the fuck does a car get away from you like that in a straight line?

Second, C5s have stability and traction control that defaults to "ON". He would have had to turn it off. However, there's also "Competition Mode" which retains stability (I think with relaxed intervention thresholds) but disables TC. This is how I track mine. Why in the hell wouldn't he have switched it to comp mode if he wanted to disable TC?

Better question is why would he even try racing a superior car.

well you never know what's done to the C5...

...and that's never stopped a whole slew of people in cars without a chance in hell from trying to race me. I think some people don't care if they lose, some people just want to see a fast car run, and then a sizable chunk are just clueless and somehow think their shit isn't slow.

^^^ agreed.

^^ looks very different from it. closest in looks would be the ferrari ff, but this vette has a better more balanced body outline, with zero awkwardness.

Also,

But still... wow.

Carmax had a 07 with 60k miles for 35,900 earlier this year.

Possible frame damage I suspect on that one.

Got to AutoX a 2009 C6 (stock except for exhaust, including stock run flat street tires) at a Corvette club event last weekend. Placed 2nd out of 30 by raw time thanks to rain, lol. But I really enjoyed the Corvette...it won't happen anytime soon, but I think I want a C7 in a few years.

I bet these things are crazy hard to get for the first year heh.

"Callaway has reportedly green-lighted the AeroWagon for production but at a higher price tag than originally announced.

When Callaway released the first photo and preliminary details of its Corvette Stingray shooting brake they said it will cost about 15,000 USD to perform the conversion but now the price has increased considerably to 22,995 USD. For this money you will get a new hatch made from carbon fiber structural elements created using a Resin Transfer Molding process to develop a lightweight yet sturdy rear.

Callaway mentions the AeroWagon will be able to hit a top speed of more than 200 mph (322 km/h) which means some upgrades for the V8 6.2-liter engine are in the works since the standard C7 can't reach that figure. Aside from the higher top speed, Callaway wants the AeroWagon to provide the highest mileage rating in its segment.

^^^ Good god that is one hideous vehicle. Other than the hot hatch, the shooting brake has got to be the ugliest form factor in all of automotive design.
