^yeah, they definitely did that to set it up in case she can't come back

if her other pilot gets picked up, they have a legit built-in reason for her not to be on the show anymore

if it doesn't, i'm sure they could figure out a way to get her back involved, especially with the stuff she did in the finale (i would think/hope she'd be back in the good graces of elizabeth)

this show is great, i thought the finale was awesome if a little unsatisfying as a season finale

Just caught up on the final two episodes.

Sooner or later that FBI agent will have a Hank from breaking bad moment when he keeps looking at the drawings of the couple.

One of the things I can't help but think about is how hard it would be to pull off some of these spy events today. For example, every parking deck has a camera and there is no way they would have gotten in and out of that parking garage in the finale. There would also be photos of them as a couple all over the place.

Great way to start the seasons. Good mixture of action, tension, and Keri Russell's ass

So thoughts on who killed the other spy couple? I'm immediately led to think it was the Russian government -- after what they did last season with the torture stuff it wouldn't surprise me. I doubt the American government had anything to do with it as I don't see them being so ruthless that they would take out the daughter too. That and I'd think Beeman would know something about it. Also, perhaps that the father of the other couple KNEW someone was out to kill him/his family so he told Phil to do the hand-off so that perhaps his family would be targeted instead?

I watched the last 3 episodes last night to catch up. Good shit all around. Kinda bummed that Lucia died though, she was a hottie (freakiny psycho hottie though).

I'm a bit curious as to the placement of their rage at the US over the fake military plans stuff. It's not like the US handed them over on good faith. The Russians stole them, and then call the US immoral b/c of that, and blame them for the death of their navy men? Yeah that makes sense.

I don't know. I mean, this hasn't been a bad show but the series isn't as compelling for me as it was during season 1. I do like the development with Philip but we sort of saw that story (albeit from a commitment to the cause angle) last year. The show just isn't offering me anything new.

I'll still watch, of course, because I'm a sucker for period dramas.

I still really enjoy the show, but I feel like the season as a whole has been much slower than last season. Last episode seemed to pick up the pace a little bit so hopefully that continues.

I just binged this show on Amazon Prime over the past couple weeks and I'm all caught up. I distinctly remember seeing Nina being interrogated by Beeman during a trailer for season 3 between episodes. Great show!
