HB730: expanding the definition of "religious employers" so more employers can opt to deny birth control coverage on their employee health plans if they have a moral objection to the use of contraception.

Of course, there's a provision to provide you the opportunity to bring a doctor's note to justify if you're taking birth control pills/shots or using contraceptive devices (IUDs, diaphragms) for a reason OTHER than contraception.

But, again: "I'd like to discuss my birth control options and medications with my boss," said no one ever.

Funny (but not surprising) what happened once the state and national party leaders got ahold of McCrory.

This guy helped form one of the best city transportation departments in the country while mayor of Charlotte. He got the Blue Line built. He went speaking all over the state about the importance of a diversity of transportation choices and how rail was an important economic development tool. He was a very refreshing example of someone who realized that transportation and infrastructure should not be a partisan issue.

Now? Fuck it. If you don't want to drive for 100% of trips you can get the fuck out.

The circus came to the State Capitol this week, complete with clowns, a carnival barker and a sideshow. The “Reverend” Barber was decked out like a prelate of the Church of Rome (no insult is meant to Catholics), complete with stole and cassock. All he was missing was a miter and the ensemble would have been complete.

Several hundred people — mostly white, angry, aged former hippies — appeared and screeched into microphones, talked about solidarity and chanted diatribes. It was “liberal theater” at its best. Just like having a honey bun and double espresso for breakfast, the impact of it all left the participants jittery and empty in the end.

Never short on audacity, the Loony Left actually named their gathering “Moral Monday.” Between the screaming, foot stomping and disjointed speeches, it appeared more like “Moron Monday.” The gathering was supposed to influence legislators. However, no one thought to bring out any senate or house member from either party.

Fine with me......but only if all the old republicans have to show photo ID in person at the poll and register their ballot before mailing their absentee ballots in, there are not any safeguards to keep their spouses and relatives from filling out a ballot on their behalf and sending it in.

Show my research or any kind of article that shows how voter fraud due to the ID thing has ever impacted the outcome of any election. Its not a real problem. You can find tons of studies on real problems like drinking and driving, value of healthcare, renewable energy sources. Sure one person who worked in a polling office cheated. That doesn't make it a problem. That doesn't mean you have to screw over people because someone could potentially do something wrong.

To be honest, I actually don't give a fuck. I don't believe voting affects anything. I'd just rather the gubment spend time on real shit like trying to make RTP more appealing to companies, improving our state school system, banning gay marriage... you know shit that makes a difference.
