If I were an American Indian, I would get together with other members of my tribe, request that they get with other tribes, and start talks with the team that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Washington Redskins goods go to reservations for schools, charities, etc, and call it good.

Leave up to Native American Nation to tell you what they would prefer. If they find it offensive just change it. It’s not up to me to tell people how to feel about words used to describe them. If we had the North Carolina Crackers I would chuckle but I wouldn’t want other ethnicities telling me I should be offended and fighting a fight on my behalf because I could give a shit but if it was the Oakland N words I would think it was horrible but I’d confirm with NAACP that they wanted it changed. I would hope they did but I’m assuming they would say are you kidding asking? But whites, native americans, blacks and Asians shouldn’t tell each other how they SHOULD feel.
