For me the worst part about the past two years is to think that Duke has been very good while we have been horrible. I mean we're talking about Duke! How many years did they go without making it to a bowl, and now they are likely to play in back-to-back ACC Championship games.

I was talking about the first half assholes. We obviously aren't dominating anymore. At some point after dominating for so long with nothing to show, it becomes demoralizing. Those turnovers for touchdowns took everything out of this team.

Haha, this was a ranked team that played an offense that we don't match up well with, why would anyone think we'd win this game? I'd actually say we were in it longer than I expected, but that weird INT off the kicked ball just sent us into a spiral, score there and the game goes differently(oh we definitely lose, but not a rout).

We have freshman LBs, freshman DBs, you really think they're ready to stop the triple option that is being run super efficiently? Get out of here.

Doeren is fine, the staff is fine. Canada is calling plays and guys are wide open and we have drops or errant passes, not the staffs fault. We could have the top DC in the NCAA but when you're starting a ton of freshmen and sophomores that aren't 4 and 5* players, you aren't going to have a great defense.

Our best players are all 1st and 2nd year guys and our recruiting is improving. Like A-a-ron said, R-E-L-A-X, relax.

I don't think it works that way though (at least prior to this year.) There is no committee to oversee fairness in terms of who makes a bowl. In that case, we will never be left out if we are eligible because we have a traveling fanbase that is well above average. The lower you go in the bowls the more it becomes about the fanbase and less about the ratings a better team would draw.

with the conference bowl tie-ins, a bowl eligible team from a power conference is pretty much guaranteed a bowl.

and 10/10 times a bowl, given the choice, would take a 6-6 P5 team over a 6-6 mid-major.

^ yes, but there were 32 bowl games that season (inclusive of the BCS championship) and 38 this year (not counting the playoff final), so that's another 12 spots to fill compared to seven years ago.

here's last year, for instance:
Nine eligible teams did not receive a bowl invitation, including two with winning records: Western Kentucky (8–4), Toledo (7–5), Central Michigan (6–6), Florida Atlantic (6–6), Louisiana-Monroe (6–6), San Jose State (6–6), South Alabama (6–6), Texas State (6–6), Troy (6–6)

not saying it couldn't happen to us, but it would be kinda surprising.
