Game 2 is a must win for the Canes. If not for Freddie the Canes probably would have lost way earlier. Offensively it looks like we don't have a gameplan to penetrate Florida's defense. Florida was always in the right place, not that the Canes didn't play good defensively either, but while we out shot Florida they had the much better chances.

Bad turnovers (lead to 2 of their 3 goals) really killed the Canes in regulation and the eventual OT winner (their wasn't much time left just blast that puck out of the zone and take the icing if needs be).

The Canes haven't been bad at all this series, but the Panthers have been just a little bit better.

I think the Refs unfortunately played a part in the game last night, apparently if the stick hits the visor at any point its not a penalty for high sticking. The Ref was right there. Aho getting hit high when he was on his knees with no call either and a few moments later we get a penalty that leads to their goal.

The only thing you can hope is you have another Game 4 2nd Period outburst like you did against the Devils and you sow some doubt in Florida

Just the worst start ever. the way the puck bounce right to the panthers for the first goal and then a minute later Slavin gets crushed.

they fought back, but then ref miss a cross check on the panthers and 30 sec later penalty on Staal that leads to the winner with 4 sec left.

just insane the bounce, calls, chances that got stole or hit the post. and they drop the Hurricanes song at the end!

last three conference finals starting in 2009 0 & 12 in games. insane stat.

Gostisbehere would be nice to get back, but he's going to test the market and in all likelihood get more than what he would get offered here as a 3rd pairing D. Maybe sign one of Stastny/Stepan but not both as Drury is here now and is another 3/4 C to go along with likely Staal as bottom 6 center.

MacEachern/DeHaan/Lajoie are just replacement level guys. No big loss/gain either way.

No idea what will happen with either Puljujarvi or Fast. Can see the team making the case to keep both, one, or neither of them.
