go to the lady in the mall...right next to radio shack. she did a great job on my dress the other day

and at a great price! and QUICK. I took it in and she said, "come back tomorrow night to pick it up;" I was amazed.

Oh god. Don't listen to him. Wang's Taylor is awful.

Joe and I went ONE time. He got two suits altered and she couldn't even sew the buttons on the bottom of the arm straight so they were in a zig zag pattern.

I got a pair of pants taken in and 3 pairs hemmed. W/in 3 weeks, the belt loop on the back of my pants where she took them in was falling off and all 3 hems were coming out.

Absolutely terrible.

For you big breasted women...

I got this one and it is wonderful. Lot's of support, really comfortable, removable padding for those that don't need any, and it's cute. They have other patterns too.

pomade CAN dry out and get goopier. Took me a LOT more work to make it pliable and useable today.

Has anyone seen anywhere selling cute versatile summer dresses? If they're really cute, I don't mind paying a little more for them. I'm usually an American Eagle girl- have been for years... but I've been sorely disappointed by their selection for the past few seasons. Ugh. Occasionally I'll get something from A&F, Guess, Express, or some random specialty store. I tried looking Sunday evening and failed miserably (I hate the mall and bitchy, annoying sales people! But with my body type I have to try stuff on!) Please help me, ladies! My biker jeans and t-shirt attire just isn't cutting it anymore

Target actually has some surprisingly cute summer dresses and they keep coming out with new styles.

^^DNL- Plato's closet is a consignment shop that has a bunch of junk... but sometimes if you stay long enough you can find something worthwhile.
Banana Republic is a possibility-- I like JCrew better... but I haven't checked out either. So, although I don't think you really knew what you were suggesting... thanks.

^Target stuff never seems to fit very well, but I'll give them another try. Thanks.

Rugged Wearhouse.... (Cary)

All their dresses are 8.99-16.99 and they have some REALLY cute ones.

More sundresses this summer than I have seen in a while.

Banana Republic has a ton of cute summer dresses on serious sale right now - I got 2 for $100. Their jersey dresses are sooooo comfortable, and you can dress them up with heels and dress them down with rainbows. I'm going back to get another one.

I need to start getting some casual business clothes (going into education, so it doesn't have to be super dressy). Where's a good place to look for women's suiting? I'd especially like to know somewhere that sells wide leg dress pants 'cause I've got fat thighs and most of the ones I've tried on already hug them.

I got great wide-leg dress pants at The Limited (in Cary Towne Center - the one at Crabtree is being renovated) - Cassidy fit. Get the ones that go with the Traveler suit - they come in lots of colors, and even though they're more expensive, they can be washed instead of drycleaned, and they don't wrinkle.

Ann Taylor Loft has some too

so I bought a dress today at belk but I'm not sure if its appropriate to wear to a day time wedding (then going straight to the reception)

it's ivory/black...it has black/gray flowers on the bottom about half of the bottom of the dress, a black belt, and black straps..everything else is ivory

it's not that white..it only looks that way because of the flash but it's an ivory color so it has yellow in it

I think it's appropriate for daytime, definitely - it's not all white so you won't upstage the bride

yea it fits really well..I do have a little bit of alterations on it (the straps are too long so the front is too big and the back but i had the alterations person pin it so I can take it somewhere).
