blackout is everything lockout should have been.. i love it atm. ghost town seems pretty sweet too... i'm just not sold on avalanche... it's small, and the arch in the middle stops my fun flying time

DLC Objective

Ghost Town is awesome. It's medium-sized but has enough paths to make it easy to cross quickly.

Avalanche is fun, but pretty chaotic. It's kinda dumb in this unranked playlist, but has potential for some good organized teams.

Blackout is weird... they took away some of my favorite shortcuts but also made new ones. The SWAT playlist will decide this one for me. That and MLG.

The first video is lag, the second is called a pressure launch, it's recreatable but slightly difficult, I don't think that guy (was it you?) did it on purpose.

It's not lag. He's not moving! If he were moving I'd say ok, lag... it hit where he was instead of where he is.

And this "pressure launch" thing... I see it all the time, especially in sand trap. One match I played in a guy did it probably 10 times. He'd be standing next to a vehicle and then blast off. I assume the vehicle is required somehow.

I've seen people hiding in walls too. You can't shoot them but they can shoot you.

Then there's the "rocket lunge" with the sword, which I think was fixed in the 1.1 patch. Someone told me how to do it the other day but it doesn't look like it works. If you had a sword and a scoped weapon, zoomed in on someone and hit Y+R and you could lunge from anywhere on the map to sword someone.

Every time I see retarded shit like this I just "avoid" the offensive player from the dashboard. I've avoided probably 200 players by now but my gaming experience has been improving.



Also, Avalanche needs a second spartan laser.

i really like avalanche the map

i don't like how people have started choosing to play it.

it was, as stated by bungie, designed as a big team vehicle heavy type map

but when i play it in slayer or obj games,

people just bottle neck in the middle cut through rather than having fun with the vehicles

so its kind of lame to me that way

avalanche should:
- be much bigger
- have more vehicles
- not have a huge freakin arch in the airway in the middle of the map... so retarded to have to fly under it (let us fly over??)
- close off the middle at least for some gametypes

i love blackout as a map... but the spawn points and the games in general there have straight out sucked so far... constantly spawning with enemies or being shot by them just isn't what i call fun anymore

agree fly over the arch would be fantastic

but then you could just perch up there with a spartan laser or something and have almost complete access to the map, so it would just be another choke point


even in forge you cant really get as many vehicles as would be good to really "make" the map

Spawning in Halo 3 sucks major bawls. I swear on construct, high ground, and last resort the other team ALWAYS spawns behind you. It really pisses me off to grab the snipe and kill 2 or 3 people only to be rewarded by a triple team flank. Bungie should fix that shit.

AND WHY THE FUCK did they take the spartan laser off snowbound? WHAT THE FUCK. one side has a sniper, so how is that fair?

The laser is still there on Snowbound in the FFA playlists (just not snowbound HC). Yesterday I was playing a match. I grabbed the laser, aimed at someone, charged it up, then BLAM... i was "Killed by the Guardians"... what? I grab the laser and try again. charge it up... BLAM... "Killled by the Guardians"! In fact it happened every time I tried to fire the spartan laser that match. Everybody else was going around spartan lasering like jackasses but every single time I tried to fire it I was killed by the guardians.
