QUESTION!

When dent wakes up in the hospital.

I dont think he knows for sure that Rachel is dead.

When he sees the coin, he thinks she left it.

he flips the coin over and sees the burnt side and flips out.

I realize that people might have gotten this the first time they saw it. I didn't catch that he thought she was still alive, and that he didn't actually hear her die.

Is this news to anyone, or is it just another level I didn't get until watching it for the 3rd time.

From the point when he sees the coin on the table, to the point where he sees the other side of the coin, he thinks she is still alive.

He is on cloud 9,

Then he flips the coin over.

When I first saw it I was like,

Oh he sees his coin, and when he flipped it over he remembers what happened to rachel. Or something like that.

Point is, this is why I watch movies more than once.

so i had a dream last night that involved batman, the joker and the riddler.

suffice to say it was really fucking sweet. batman was a much darker figure than this film, which i was way into.

^^when he yells and rips the cloth from the left side of his face off in that scene and you can't hear him yell, it is epic.

I wonder if this movie would have been better if it had more time to flesh everything out a little more?

Maybe the the density of the plot, and quick pace to get through it all helps it more than hurts it?

Ok, so I just saw it a second time and I have a question. This was brought up earlier in the thread but I couldn't find an answer.

When the Joker tells batman where Rachel and Harvey are and Batman goes to save Harvey, he tells Gordan he is going after Rachel. Did the Joker purposely tell him the wrong locations or what?

so then harvey would live and get all evil and get revenge for rachel and all that shyiiit rather than dying a hero etc etc.

"Bringing Robin Back to Batman Films
Should the Boy Wonder be in Christopher Nolan's third movie? If so, in what form?

August 5, 2008 - Ever since Batman Begins unleashed Christopher Nolan's dark, sophisticated and pseudo-realistic take on Batman's world to the masses back in 2005, one of the hottest topics of debate within the comics fan community has been whether or not the Robin character could ever translate to the big screen in a believable manner......."

I think the Robin character could work as Nightwing, but as a competing superhero, not as a sidekick.

Here's my basic idea, Wayne is disgusted by the way Batman attracts psychotic costumed killers and by the way the public hates him. He finally decides to give up, he thinks the place would be better without him.

When he quits, the costumed villians leave and the mobs come back. Breaking news and public panic inducing crime goes down, but overall crime and violence skyrockets. A new vigilante steps in, but not Batman, capturing or killing mob bosses right and left.

Batman comes back to confront him, and they end up working together because of some major threat.

I could see Carrie Kelly working without being too ridiculous, but the existence of Carrie Kelly as Robin requires previous Robins to have existed, so that's out.

I agree with the article in that robin cannot be red at all. Complete overhaul of costume and look, but the core of the character and the relation to Batman remains ruffly the same.

And like that article said, Nolan and Bale wont be doing this franchise forever. Other people will step in and it will happen eventually.

Down to #3 on IMDB.

Same ranking as Godfather and Shawshank, just fewer votes.

That's a damn good fan made poster. LOVE IT! I'm telling you, the viral marketing potential for the Riddler would be incredible seeing as toying with the public and Batman is the Riddler's speciality.
