I am genuinely angry that this TV show, which I hate, is not yet available on the internet for me to illegally download.

FINALLY! There's Rev. Newland! Edginton HAD to come back; excellent excellent excellent!! And, of course, Tara's dead.

As is Nan...though I will miss her power suits.

Also...that didn't make up for season 4, but it does get me excited for season 5. They better not fuck it up.

Fucking epic season finale. The thing with Sam and that werewolf at the end though... why is there even any suspense there? So what if that werewolf is about to attack him, what's stopping Sam from just turning into a rhino and gutting the wolf on his horn? Or turning into a cheetah and running away? Turning into a bird and flying away? Hell he could just turn into a fly again and the wolf probably wouldn't be able to touch him.

So is Tara dead dead, or will they do some fairy vampire magic and bring her back as some undead version of herself next season?

AHA, I can't believe I thought I might be the first to bring Jessica's boob alert to TWW.

Why'd they have to wait until the last episode to make it awesome?

Who is Terry's friend who 'he thought was dead'? (foreshadowing)
Is Rene back too?

Yeah with so many deaths this episode, and all the foreshadowing(Jesus, Rene, Terry's friend), I don't think we've seen the end of a few of these "dead" characters.

But great season finale, looking forward to next season.

Definitely thinking Bill and/or Eric will vamp-sense Sookie's distress and come to save the day...I doubt we're done with Tara, but I'm happy with all the other annoying character kill-offs combined with all the former awesome-ness coming out.

Leave it to this show to be so close to losing me, then in 20 minutes just pull me right the hell back in

I think the whole zombie costume that Terry had was some foreshadowing too.

Terry's friend showed up before that spell.

But I do think the zombie costumes was foreshadowing.

That spell won't bring Godric back though...

I think the Season 4 MVP award should go to Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette) He's amazing! He's so convincing and I just love his character. I had no idea he wasn't gay irl. I love the way he portrays being inhabited by the ghosts, he's just awesome. I do feel bad about Jesus though, I was just starting to like that character.

I'm also surprised this season ditched the whole werepanther/Crystal story and that there wasn't more in the plot about faeries, I was hoping to find out more about faery lore and maybe see the evil faeries come back. The Andy Bellefleur/faery sex threw me a bit, I know she was probably looking to just get knocked up but I don't think I would have chosen Andy....

What happened to the goofy evil fairies plotline? Or Crystal and the Hot Shots were-panthers?

In the books, the faeries come and just have random sex with humans for no reason.

I don't mean to be rude but, if I cared what was in the books, I'd read the books. Or I would post in the thread that is for the books. I'm tired of hearing about the books.

lol yeah I forgot about the werepanthers, I'd have thought a good cliffhanger would be to show a full moon and Jason start transforming.

Nelsan Ellis is a phenomenal actor.

BTW I second the motion that the preacher's wife should come back too.

i like hearing about the books vs. the show. i haven't read all of them yet, so i look to hear what others have to say. i think it offers some perspective on the events that take place in the show.

^^That's what this thread is for. The other thread is for discussing the books and how they differ/relate to the show.

And lucky for you, there's no rule against reading both.

while discussing the show as it is progressing, i'm interested in hearing about similarities/differences between the two since i haven't read them. luckily the internet has no rules!!!

also, i was super bummed about jesus but i suppose it had to happen. and i'm probably the only one upset about tara

I'm perfectly calm. And I was actually trying really hard not to be mean. But it's like you're trying to be as retarded as possible. This thread is for discussion of the show. The other thread is for discussion of the books. Many people (I would even say the majority) that haven't read the books don't want to be spoiled/potentially spoiled by what happened in the books. So another thread was created for people that choose to discuss that. So if all of the book discussion is kept there, then people that haven't read them won't be forced to read things they don't want to read.

You're technically correct in saying that there are no rules on the internet. But there are guidelines for what's generally accepted around here. And the general consensus seems to be that if you don't want to be seen as a dick, don't talk about the books here. Why is this such a hard concept for you to grasp?

That's why we generally try to politely ask people that want to discuss that sort of thing to post in the other thread.

Are you really this stupid, or are you just getting bored and banging your fist on the keyboard until words pop up on the screen?

[Edited on September 12, 2011 at 8:22 PM. Reason : and yes, it really is too bad that mods don't take a more active role in that sort of thing]

the matching robes eric and bill were wearing...

do they each own their own robe? or because eric was at bill's, did he borrow one of bill's? if so, how was it that bill's robe would fit eric? eric is much taller than bill.

i know vampires have a lot of powers, but i didn't know custom on-the-spot tailoring was one of them.

After the first two books, Bill isn't really a big character. He goes back to Lorena (LOL) and kinda fades out.

Does anyone think Quinn will show up in season 5?
