our trade system is actually setup to be commissioner approved, but in the 12 man league, he basically asks everyone after its proposed and if 6 or more people dont like it, it gets vetoed...i dont love the system but it is sort of fair...i agree with your point of view, but the problem comes when there is shady collusion going on and not just one guy suckering another into a bad deal

Hey if it comes down to it,,, what do yall think about

Adrian Peterson

for

Deangelo Williams
Ray Rice

last season that would've worked out very well

^ decent trade especially if you are thinking about the fantasy playoffs (if you make it that far). Carolina def wont make the playoffs and Baltimore is iffy so both could play all 16 games. Peterson will be pulled possibly by the 13th game (Minnesota will win the division by a wide margin) so he wont be producing down the stretch.

And two #1 backs for 1 is always a good trade...if its approved.

pick 2 RB's

Peterson vs. Pit
Slaton vs. SF
Tomilson vs. KC

pick 3 WR's

S. Smith vs. Buf
Ochocinco vs. Chi
Vincent Jackson vs. KC
Sidney Rice vs. Pit

I'm starting Brees over E. Manning, a newly picked up NE defense over Pit D, newly traded for Longwell over Kasay for kicker, finally starting A. Gates over H. Miller if anyone wants to tell me that's wrong.

Smith is a huge swing here. I'm not sure if we'll run the ball against Bufalo (big trend, Buf gave up fewest passing yards last 4 games because nobody passed on them) but also Smitty has been whining his ass off "I'm not an asset to the team" about not getting the ball, and the Panthers certainly don't want to lose him and may pass him the ball for political reasons...

Regarding Fantasy Playoffs...

I have Peterson in my $$$ League and am not even worried about them benching AP yet. Remember, the Vikings do not want to end up in New Orleans or New York for the NFC Championship. There's a lot of football left in between now and then. It's way too early IMO to even worry about who may get benched in either division.

ahh fucking trade I was counting on got vetoed by a faction of people led by the guy that's playing me this week lol

now the real question is:

Slaton or LT?

(assuming I shouldn't take out AP even in light of the fact he's playing Pit w/ 74 rya)

Slaton: working all week on holding onto the ball, they use him a lot, against SF with 88 rushing yards allowed, got a ton of fantasy points the last 3 games in a row

LT: playing KC with 130 rushing allowed (but also high passing, so easy for Rivers), wants to prove 30 is the new 20, got the ball some last game and did allright and is vocal about playing a larger role on the team

TO has killed me this year.... I need one receiver to start out of this group:

Anquan Boldin - ARZ (Questionable)
T.O. - BUF (Healthy)
Jeremy Maclin - PHI (Probable)

pick 3, PPR league:

Anquan Boldin @ NYG
Desean Jackson @ Wash
Steve Smith(NYG) vs. Ari
Miles Austin vs. Atl
Pierre Garcon @ Stl
Austin Collie @ Stl

^^I would go with Jacobs

^thats tough, Boldin will probably be on a snap count, TO has Fitzpatrick throwing to him and Maclin is not very consistent. I would probably go with TO, yeesh, but its a tossup

^ Def Jackson and Smith, maybe Austin as your third?

Pick one for flex, standard scoring:

WR Smith (NYG) vs. Ari.
RB Forte at Cincy
RB Slaton vs. SF

Forte has been a disappointment, so he has been relegated to this choice.

and I would start Slaton this week. I have a feeling Forte is gonna have a breakout game soon, but nothing really leads me to believe it will be this week

AP and Benson would be my choice... slaton can be good, and he could be doodoo. And I honestly couldn't not start AP

^^I think it could happen this week... god I hope it happens this week

^^^LJ... he is getting more looks and cassel doesn't mind checking down to him either (which can be big in a PPR)

^^^^pick 2

bowe v sd
desean v was
ochocinco v chi

pick 1

garcon vs StL
maclin vs Was

pick 1

but that is a hard one... marshawn wouldn't be a bad choice either I don't think

"The chest injury that Andre Johnson suffered on Sunday has been classified as a chest contusion, according to the Houston Chronicle. It does not appear to be too serious, and as of now, it seems like Johnson should be able to play against Buffalo next week.

Johnson owners can breathe a collective sigh of relief. Expect head coach Gary Kubiak to have more information on Johnson and his injury on Monday morning, but for now, it looks like you should be set with Johnson in your Week 8 lineup."

alright, week 8.. my te, K, and both defenses are on bye.

i don't want to drop heath miller
i don't really want to drop gostkowski
i don't really want to drop new england def
i don't really want to drop pitt def

i could/will drop larry johnson to make room for one of the spots
is it stupid to go without a kicker this week in terms of saving gostkowski?
should i drop either Pitt or New England?

This is where advice is needed and not just a "should i start him or him." Thanks

you seriously would not start a kicker at all this week? thats ridiculous, just drop Gostkowski, why are you so stuck on having him on your team? he's a good kicker, but kickers are more or less a dime a dozen, just stay on top of your shit and pick him back up at the start of next week before someone else does.

I would hold onto the Steelers defense without a doubt. Do you start two defenses? If not, just drop the Pats defense and pick up whoever has the most favorable matchup.

to answer your questions, hold on to Heath and the Steelers defense, drop Gostkowski and NE defense. I would only drop LJ if you didnt have anyone else to drop, or if you are stacked at RB

Should I go complete bitch move and bench Philly's D to guarantee a win or play them and risk negative points?

That wouldn't be a bitch move, that'd be smart. I can't see the philly D going negative against Washington though.

^^depends on your scoring system (how likely is it to get -2 points?). PHI could get you valuable points that could break a tie in the standings at the end of the year. assuming the chances are very slim for a -2 point performance(especially since their playing the redskins) the the eagles D, i'd start them.

^^^^, ^^^ is dead on IMO.

it is the standard scoring on ESPN for D/ST

I originally thought I might bench them but I like your points Dave. This league is real competitive as everyone from top to bottom is within 2 games of each other. If Philly's D plays bad enough to go negative against the failskins then I am going to have to live with that.
