^Yeah but basically unless you are one of the last one or two people alive its almost better to become infected very early because then you have more targets and opportunities for points.

I'm not saying that it should be pure last man standing but it seems like becoming infected doesn't hurt your chances of winning that much. Then again maybe the few times I've played the infected have been really good, maybe in normal games the zombies just keep getting mowed down by the survivors.

if you're infected early, your maximum number of kills is in the low teens if no other infected but you kills anyone (which is crazy unlikely). plus you will be saddled with a ton of deaths.

on the other hand, if you're not infected, you can attract and kill the same noobs over and over at the start of the match since they will be outgunned. if you find a relatively safe spot, you can rack up kills until you become outnumbered.

I started playing infected last night for the first time, some games are a ton of fun, others can be pretty boring. Had one guy get like 84 kills on Dome. He just was hanging out on that platform above the dome with another guy guarding the other end. There is really no strategy other than get everyone to try and rush them at the same time.

Lol damn, so yeah I must just have played with badass coordinated infected. Never seen anything close to this. The infected in the game's I've played have always wiped out the rest of everyone fast.

I think it depends on the map and the weapon setup. I played on Mission yesterday and I didn't know about the "party spot" in the back corner of the map. In the valley, there's a couple shantys that a bunch of dudes got onto and it was striker vs. knife. They held that because it's elevated and has long sight lines for the approach. They were mowing down infected left and right, it was brutal. 2 people called in MOABs and I left before another was called in.

so i've started mixing and matching various kill streaks and found one that I like a good bit. It's on the lower end, but pairing the Pred Missile and then the Precision Airstrike is a very easy way to get yourself up to a 9+ killsteak easily.

since the pred missile is a 5 streak and the airstrike a 6 they happen back to back.

last night i was getting 6 gun kills, using the predator missile for a double, and then using the map of the missile launch to plot out the airstrike. the airstrike is the hardest thing, but i was getting 2 kills from that pretty consistently. next thing you know you have a reaper ready or on your way to a pavelow or ac-130

anyone else have this issue?


i have a pretty new tv (< 6 months) so it's feature heavy with all the picture enhancing adds and what not. most of them i have off or turned down on my normal input setting when I did some picture calibrating.

for my gaming input i always keep the TV set on the "Game" picture settings which disable all of these extras as to not introduce any picture lag. But when i use the ps3 for DVDs or blu-ray I change it back over to some of my other settings setups. If I forget to switch back to "Game" it honestly makes me play terrible, and did to the point last night that I wondered If there was something wrong with me or my controller. I was slow to fire against everyone, off aim to the left and right on everyone, and just plain bad. Once i returned my TV to the game setup it all went back to normal and I was back to playing my normal way.

so yeah, maybe some others have there settings tweaked to where they may be inhibited by their own TV

Mixed variant sounds awesome, but I wish their were kill streaks and Launchers available for use. Basically this will be a silencer party if we play this rule set. If you're not used to having your gun neutered a bit, I suggest you find a combo you like. Then again if the opposing team communicates correctly you might as well show up on the map when you fire anyways.
