^pretty much. I mean i'd say i got my 50 bucks of fun outta it i got the pcIII for 254xx brand new, forget if i paid shipping. If i had to go back in time... yeah i'd try it out again bc it woudl be always buggin me of how much better it makes the bike run etc..

all it gives me is better throttle response. if you want to get into getting power from it u need to custom tune. i've been running on stock tune and i've been gettin better mpg and altho the throttle response isnt AS quick it's good enough and when ur balls to the wall it's still just as fast as without the pcIII. basically the pcIII is a gas hog dumpin gas in for better throttle response and making it feel as tho the power comes on faster. with the stock tune the power doesnt come on until up top.. but it makes sense u dont wanna be shittin gas out ridin' to class everyday pullin away from lights. (yeah yeah u gain more hp from it but not that much from crap downloaded maps imo)

Also my sprockets give plenty of oomph for around town. if u have stock sprockets u'd be 'like woah' with a pcIII probz.

that and i owe a lot of money on taxes this year

also running on the downloaded map would lean my bike out making it run hotter at lights etc. it was very noticeable when i went back to the stock map how much cooler it ran (running richer, but not fowlin plugz so she's good ). I mean it's a fun toy but i dont have time or the money to custom tune my shit. also i want to save up for a pit bike or somethin. also of course if u have a full exhaust, and some intake mods u'd see better gains than just my slip on which really does nothin just gives sound and maybe 2.5 hp



right now P Nis is negotiating with me on a set of tires plus cash on the pcIII so i might just be going that route. i always need tires.

^^ cool...The reason you don't feel it on the top end is because it doesn't control the secondary injectors that kick in at 8krpm... therefore it only messes with the primary injectors. I would have thought that with your pipe, it would run better if the propper map was downloaded..

anyway gl with the sale, my next purchase is a 138cc Lifan engine for the mini bike...

^secondary injectors kick in at 5500 rpms i hear. and they only spray fuel into the air box to cool down the intake and give a lil more power up top. the primaries are still doing the majority of the work on it's way to redline.

the manual says:
"The Primary injectors operate at all engine speed, both the primary and secondary injector operate at high engine speeds (over 5,500 rpm) and throttle wide opened (over 50°). "

you think the secondary kicks in at 8k but that's just the power band.

My understandign was that the secondary injectors were used because at higher rpms the fuel had insufficent time to mix in the cylinders and therefore some was premixed in the intake.

Its a large, not sure how old it is but its in good shape. Ive worn it mabye 3 times since i bought it last year, it was just my backup. I ride with a medium rf-1000. The guy that bought it originally got it with the bike from the dealership, but it didnt fit him well so he got an Arai. Doubt it was worn more than 20 times. Also comes with the bottom chin guard flap thingy.

ill post pics r1 hittin the paper this week. i got new rear plastic and seats.

it has rashed up exhaust, cracked plastics on the right side and a bent right clip-on.

mechanically its 100% solid. fast as fuck, lifts the front wheel in every gear, feels and handles like a 600.

starting it at $5k.

stock gearing. yeah all you gots to do is clutch it in or upshift hard, and front end comes up.

i'll try to find some vids later. theres a famous r1 vs rc51 vid, but that r1 has got a turbo i beleive.

some crazy fucker also went around the world on one of these. in case you were wondering if thats possible lol.

^is that the 250cc or the 450 or the 650 bike? It looks like a 450 so the power is a little slow but a nice crusing bike. Check to make sure the battery won't die out on you. Mine and a friend's nighthawk has problem with the battery going dead. With the old bike Check the seals make sure it doesn't leak oil. I think you could talk him down to 1200 that is about how much they are selling for. If you really liked it and want the bike go ahead and offer the kbb value and see what he says.
