engine is at Loop Road right now...I need to go ahead and have all the parts sent over there so they'll be done when I get back to NC. 10/8/2009 11:48:30 PM |

I wouldn't say that mine is beat down. it's a whole lot of car for what I'm asking for it.
I certainly wouldn't describe it as a really particularly clean example, though.

195/65/14 Goodyear Eagle HP tire with good tread...$Freee
e30 Tires & Wheels...lightweight bottlecap style. Fits 4x100 Honda junk too.
I didn't even clean these up before taking the pics, but I have been keeping them inside ever since they came off the car.
Four rims with Falken Ziex 912 tires - $275. No patches, well balanced:
Three of the rims with the Falken tires look pretty much just like this one:
The last rim is one I got off a parts car and it shows more age in the clearcoat:
Falken tread depth:
Spare rim with Michelin tire - $60:
Michelin tread depth:
Other e30 parts available, but I don't think any TWWers have one right now do they?

Hobart Handler 140 welder...with small cart, regulator. Never had gas run through it. 300 OBO. Engine lift...I think arghx has it. I don't need it. 75 bux. Husky roll chest tool box...paid 350 for it, first 125 takes it.
Various shit that has to go. Ask if there's something you need. 2/10/2010 12:04:36 PM |

i need a set of standard combination wrenches and a set of metric combo wrenches, both in 12 pt, hopefully craftsman or kobalt or something with a lifetime warranty. what you got?

Unfortunately, I don't have any sets as such. I've got a blue million combination wrenches, but none very new, and most are store brands.

^^ I can't imagine that it wouldn't do 1/4" ok. I'd guess that would be about the limit, but I bet it'll do it.
...really, I don't think there's anything I'd be likely to weld that would require more grunt than that welder could deliver, and if it did, I'd probably just use a big stick welder. hell, dan can attest that sometimes less is more...the Miller at my granddad's shop is a major pain in the ass to weld sheetmetal with, even dialed all the way back. it's not much bigger than dan's welder, either.
but what do I know, I have no formal training with welding, haha. I've been doing it since I was about 12, but I won't pretend to actually be that knowledgeable about it.

Putting my trailer up for sale for real now (listing it on eastern NC craigslist). If anyone wants it, I can tow it up to Raleigh (but not for you to look at and kick the tires on...if I'm going to bring it up, I want you to have every intention of putting money in my hand and signing the title over). You're welcome to come check it out in New Bern, too. It has two 3500# axles, removeable sides and ramps, and a roughly 6x12' deck. $1500.
Also, I'll still sell my GP1300R at any time, although I'll probably wait a few more weeks to really start advertising it. '04 model, but has '05 (new-spec) pump, built engine, etc. It's strong. Comes with a single trailer. Price TBD.
The S2000 will probably go on the market in the next couple of weeks, too. I'm determined to do one HPDE with it before I let it go, though. Hopefully this weekend will work out. It's a stock AP1, just over 100k miles, mechanically good but with a few little cosmetic gripes. Price TBD, but <$10k. 2/16/2010 10:20:12 PM |
