I dont get any achievements in mlb because I've tweaked the sliders and it only gives you them if you play at the default settings
But any lag is terrible in this game because of the timing you need to hit
A fraction of a second can fuck you as a hitter
online the lag is occasionaly pretty bad...

How is the trade in for the Elite going to work, and are they going to check the condition of your xbox before you get the Elite?
Because mine works, but the drive is having issues with some games, and gives me constant dirty disc errors, I will probably send it in soon, but if they don't care about that then I may just trade it in for an Elite. 4/25/2007 11:13:58 AM |

Quote : | "Call of Duty 4 waging Modern Warfare After a year-plus of rumors, Activision confirms the next installment in its first-person shooter series will leave WWII behind; game to be officially unveiled this Saturday during NFL Draft. By Tor Thorsen, GameSpot UK Posted Apr 25, 2007 10:12 am PT
For months, rumors have raged that the Call of Duty series would follow in the footsteps of Battlefield, its biggest rival in the military shooter genre, into the modern era of warfare. Today, the franchise's publisher, Activision, made it official. Developed by COD creators Infinity Ward, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will eschew the franchise's traditional World War II setting in favor of a fictional conflict set during contemporary times.
Unfortunately, the setting is about all that's known about COD4. No details--including platforms--were revealed to the press. Instead of issuing the typical press release, Activision has decided to unveil the game via a trailer that will be shown during the NFL Draft on ESPN at (10 a.m. PDT /1 p.m. EDT) this Saturday April 28.
Although Activision is holding back on the details of COD4, its announcement was not unexpected. This month, gamers were tipped off to the unveiling of something on developer Infinity Ward's Web site. The tease came just over a year after the first rumors about a modern-day Call of Duty first surfaced in the gaming press. " |

A quick google search says that Gamestop will be increasing the value of a full premium set (xbox 360, HD, 1 wireless controller) from $215 to $250...the unsure part is if you have to use that $250 towards an elite or anything instore

Quote : | "2K un-retires pros for All-Pro Football 2K8 Upcoming NFL-free football from 2K Sports will feature Hall of Famers Barry Sanders, Johnny Unitas, OJ Simpson, and...Rush? By Tim Surette, GameSpot Posted Apr 26, 2007 12:25 pm PT
When 2K Sports announced that it would be going back to the gridiron without an NFL license, many wondered who would fill out the game's rosters. Because Electronic Arts currently holds the exclusive rights to the NFL, 2K can't put any players or teams currently associated with the league in the game.
As soon as the game's name--All-Pro Football 2K8--was revealed, fans began to speculate that 2K would include retired players, a feature that was a part of an info leak earlier this month. To do this, the game maker would have to approach each former player separately and sign them to individual contracts.
It appears as though 2K has been doing a lot of wheeling and dealing. Today, the publisher not only confirmed that there will be past NFL legends in the game, but also that there will be more than 240 of them.
Time to dust off the Ickey shuffle...
Among the retired players to be featured in the game are Joe Montana, Dick Butkus, Warren Moon, John Elway, Barry Sanders, Johnny Unitas, Archie Manning, Gale Sayers, Ickey Woods, Bart Starr, Mike Ditka, and Jerry Rice. A list of players that made the cut for the game is posted on the All-Pro Football 2K8 Web site.
The list features a few eyebrow-raising inclusions and some glaring omissions. Among the more controversial players in the game is OJ Simpson, who has had few licensing deals since his infamous 1995 trial for the murder of two people, of which he was found not guilty. Some pros that--so far--apparently won't be making their comeback on consoles are Tecmo-Bowl favorite Bo Jackson and Jim Brown, considered by some to be the greatest player of all time.
But just because former 49ers Roger Craig, Joe Montana, and Jerry Rice are in the game, it doesn't mean that they have to play together. Through team customization, players can make up dream teams of former players, allowing the pros to play against their former teammates or even against others decades younger or older than them.
...and that old Rush T-shirt.
In keeping with the theme of resurrecting the players of years past, the game's soundtrack will be loaded with remixes of classic artists by "an all-pro producer." Now playing on the game's Web site is a remix of Rush's "Tom Sawyer" by mash-up specialist DJ Z-Trip.
All-Pro Football 2K8 will be released this summer for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. For more information, read GameSpot's previous coverage. " |

What I really want out of the spiderman series, is real web physics. Where you have to actually be able to stick your web onto something in order to swing, instead of sticking it onto overhead planes and helicopters or whatever it was the last times. 5/1/2007 10:09:25 AM |

So much for upgrading to the Elite.
http://www.gamespot.com/news/6169917.html?tag=latestnews;title;1
Quote : | "Following weeks of grumbling on game blogs, Microsoft is offering data transfer cables for free to Xbox 360 Elite owners for a "limited" time. However, to obtain a cable, gamers must first jump through a few bureaucratic hoops. First, they must download, print, and fill out an authorization form with both consoles' serial numbers. Said form must then be sent via standard US mail to a redemption center in Indiana, which will then send out an Xbox 360 data migration kit gratis.
Once the kit is received, its cable is connected to the old Xbox 360 and the Elite's 120GB drive. Then the transfer--which can be performed only once--commences, erasing any existing data on the 120GB. Said data will then be replaced with all nonmovie content from the old 20GB, which is then itself blanked. The cable is thrown out, the 120GB drive is connected to the new console, and--voila!--the Elite is complete.
Though cumbersome, the data transfer process will likely prove only a mild headache to the tech-savvy consumer. However, some of those same key customers are voicing their frustration about a potentially maddening side effect of transferring Xbox Live Arcade Games. Said frustration has even prompted some Elite owners to swear off all future XBLA purchases.
Why all the fuss? As anyone who has ever brought a 360 HDD to a friend's house (or had to replace a broken system) knows, Microsoft's digital rights management (DRM) software ties each Arcade game on said HDD to a single console. When the HDD is removed and attached to another 360, the games are playable only in demo form unless said console is online and signed into Xbox Live. Even then, transferred XBLA titles can be played only with the gamer profile used to buy the game, not other profiles.
The widely read tech blog Ars Technica vented about the fact the DRM affects XBLA games transferred from regular 360s to Elites--even though the same person owns both. "Why can't this be something that turns on when you move the games, and then you can call and get them unlocked again?" Kuchera said. "If I bring my Elite to a friend's house that doesn't have ethernet in the living room, we can't play Geometry Wars? That's silly."
The DRM on XBLA games also affects television content downloaded on Xbox Live Marketplace--and is apparently permanent. "While all of your Xbox Live Arcade games and Xbox Live Marketplace TV shows will transfer [to the Elite HDD], you will have to be connected to Xbox Live (to verify your identity) in order to access that content," the company said in a statement. "This process is permanent and we advise [you to] not transfer your data if you wish to access it while offline."" |
So if I got an Elite, my girlfriend wouldn't be able to earn achievements in Hexic under her own name? What if I wanted to play Geometry Wars while the internet was on the blink?5/1/2007 3:01:02 PM |
