best episode of the season and it didn't have nikki/jessica/micah/hawkins in it

Hiro, Peter, Issac, and Nathan weren't in it either. it was good because the flashbacks are always fun and they had alot of the characters together so they didn't have to jump around alot

I think the splitting of the stories is one of the best parts of the show, hope it doesn't go downhill once they all sync up.

God i love this show, i hope HRG isnt gone for good and I hope he doesnt go back to being die hard for the company, I like him as a torn character. That episode left me with two big questions though, who did Claude keep a secret and is Hiro adopted? They definitely didnt seem to show his father as being "one of them" as it seems to be pretty clear when theres someone in the company with a power. And its been shown powers seem to run in the family, could be potential for Hiro being similar to Claire.

great episode, i hope simone comes back, and for the record i think nikki/jessica is a really cool storyline especially when she's on a hunt.
so i guess the hatian has willingly become a fugitive.
my question is who is responsible for blocking powers all this time, cause obviously the hatian and bennet couldnt stop ted from exploding.

I agree, I always wondered if it was truely the Haitain that blocked the powers or if he was just in the vacinity. I really think Bennett has some sort of device that his company (Linderman) has given to him that prevents the heroes from using their powers. They always state the Haitain's power as a sort of Brain Wipe - where he takes out selective memory like worms in a bucket. Nothing about blocking others powers.

i thought the hatian could only stop parkman and eden's power. he's like a mental radar jammer. i think sylar's physical powers were supressed by other means.

ok you answered that one, try this, why did hiro's dad try to stop him with a story about the company then let him go, in hindsight now that we know he's involved then he wouldnt really care about the company but about hiro himself. so why did he stop him and why did he let him go?

1) At what points in the show have peoples powers been blocked? I'm sure its happened I jsut don't remember...

2) I doubt Hiro was adopted...who says his dad doesn't have any power? Sounds like as assumption to me. So are we to assume that Hiro's sister has powers?

3) And yeah, who was/is Claude hiding?

4) and what do you guys think the deal is with mohinder,sylar and the needle. it seems out of character for sylar to let mohinder do that to him...


^how much does Hiro's dad know about his sons ability. maybe hes just assuming that hes a weird kid. i don't remember hiro telling his dad that he can bend space and time.

I don't think it's been established that HRG takes his orders from Linderman. The graphic novel kinda suggested it might be the case (with Hannah following the ridiculous EM signal that seems to flow like air) by identifying Las Vegas as where HRG gets his orders, but half the show takes place in LV, and he has multiple superiors, any of which could have been in LV at the time.

Hopefully we'll find out next episode. From the recent episode, I thought the flashback suggested that Sulu could be HRG's organization overlord. He's definately important enough that he could command HRG to raise Claire and compel him to learn Japanese or advance him because he already knows it.

I doubt this is the case. They would have used it on nathan when he flew away from them. They would ahve grabbed it instead of trying to tranqualize ted.

i've been saying this since the very fucking beginning and its been completely ignored. the only powers he's been able to stop have been mental projections upon other people, or else nathan would've have flown away, claire wouldn't have regenerated, and ted wouldn't have almost gone nuclear.

yeah, i hadnt seen that preview when i made that comment. i had only watched the episode i downloaded from the canadian broadcast and that promo wasn't there.

so yeah it looks like she may be alive after all, but i don't necessarily think that anyone that shows up in peter's dream is guaranteed to live until that point. i don't think it's a prediction of the future, i think it was more of a message to peter than anything, telling him he needed to get control.

I thought it was interesting that a lot of heroes (haitian included) have had the S-mark thing. They explained this as the mark of the famous Samurai.

Hiro's dad used to tell Hiro about that Samurai and even mentioned he shouldn't of told those stories to him. Thus linking the mark, his dad and the heroes.

So either Hiro's dad is the head of all this or Yamagato Industries is a front like Primatech Paper for finding heroes

This also means heroes could of gone as far back as the Samurai and the symbol has marked that line of heroes for hundreds of years.

any ideas on simone's power, I think that the whole dreaming the future thing was something her dad had, and it seems like the ablity to have powers is passed down in families. That combined with so far no one has the same power leaves me very excited to see what happens with her

simone couldnt possibly have had the power to heal... otherwise the cheerleader would be of no use...... My guess is that Peter passed on his absorbed powers of healing to simone when he slept with her....wild guess... possibly carrying his baby who has the power to heal aswell?

Think about if Claires dads memory was erased, it wasnt erased completely obviously, he just wanted it erased to the point where he would have no memory of what happened with Claire. And what was the last thing he was doing before the incident at the house? Trying to find Peter and Claude by using the paintings. So I think it would make perfect sense that Claires dad and his new partner would be there. Not necessarily sure if she is a shapeshifter or what, but I definitely think Simone is dead and the dads partner has something to do with that scene.
