book fan myself, I think if you're at least gonna mention the books you only discuss parts of the book that's already occurred on the show (like Godric for example or as recent as Debbie). Quinn should not be mentioned at this point as that is definitely a spoiler for non-book readers. Same with the faerie sex. We know little about them at this point in the show as AB & Co. chose to introduce us to their world end of last season in to the beginning of this season and then chose to ignore it until the next to the last episode this season. Book readers will obviously know more. I think this should also be done b/c AB & Co. has changed a lot from the books to the show 4 seasons in, so at this point it's any reader's guess to how things will play out. /m2c

Don't get me wrong, this show is terrible but that finale wasn't all that bad. At least Russell's back, Tara's dead (hopefully), and that scene with Eric/Bill was pretty bad ass.

I only casually watch while my wife has it on but what happened with Jason and the werepanther/ghost daddy story? Did they just drop that story line after he stayed up the whole night with Jessica? I can't remember, did they all die somehow or what?

As much as I would love it, I'm pretty sure Tara isn't dead. I feel as if she is too major of a character for them to kill her off like that. She'll probably be saved by one of the vampires or will somehow come back or turn out to be be non-human and thus somehow able to survive or something like that.

I did kind of like Jesus though, he was a good bf for Lafayette.

talking about things that are drastically different from the books is one thing, talking about things that haven't happened yet... (referring to Pikey's post on the previous page) is something else altogether.

If you go back through this entire thread, you see that one of the reasons the other thread was created was to keep book related talk out of this thread. Some of us are big fans of the show and like to read about and discuss what is canon for the show. A lot of us don't want to know what could possibly happen. And even if something in the earlier books hasn't come up yet, that doesn't mean it won't in the future.

Some of us don't even watch the previews because whoever edits them is an idiot and spoils the cliffhanger in the preview.

So I'm asking, please don't talk about the book in this thread, particularly things that haven't even remotely happened yet. This is pretty par for the entertainment section. And if you absolutely are unwilling to accommodate, at least use spoiler tags (which is expected in the entertainment section). And no, there are no rules on the internet... but that doesn't mean you're not being a dick by ignoring what has already been established over the past few years amongst the people who have regularly read and posted in this thread.
