I have the x11s and they work pretty good. Turtle Beach just announced some new headphones for this year.

Expensive, but should be pretty good. The x11s work well, but only work on the 360. Bright side is they are wired so you do not have to pay for batteries.

Hey Stingray, here's a decent video on setups and strategy with the AUG and Famas, which are the best assault rifles in my opinion



My class setups, since that's what you were asking about earlier:

1. Famas w/ DM / Nova Gas, Semtex / Sleight of Hand Pro, Flak Jacket, Marathon Pro or Ninja Pro -- Use this for objective games on any map
2. Famas w/ DM / SoH Pro, Hardline, Marathon Pro -- TDM on any map
3. Spas w/ suppressor / Steady Aim Pro, Lightweight Pro or Ghost Pro, Marathon Pro -- good on most CQ maps, but terrible on Nuketown
4/5. AK74u w/ DM / perks from #1 or #2 depending on game type
6. MPL, PM63? or Spectre w/ Extended Mags / Lightweight Pro, Steady Aim Pro, Marathon Pro -- I feel like these SMGs are better for running and gunning than the 74u

Sometimes I'll play with the G11 or Commando, but I never have much success with them. AR classes get motion detectors, rush classes get claymores, which I always forget to use. CZ#s w/ auto-fire is the only secondary I use, except on the Spas class, which gets a Strella since I'm using Ghost Pro.

Setups are important, but knowing the maps and player tendencies is why I'm almost always going positive. I can't shoot for shit, but I play pretty smart.

and maybe one more class with ghost if there's an enemy chopper

Last question about headphones

Cords are gay, so the x11's are out. I'm going to be playing primarily on a TV that is not wired for surround sound, so will I get any benefits going with the x41s over the x31s? Price difference is about 70 bucks or so.

i cant answer for the x31, but i can definitely hear the direction from which footsteps are coming with the x41s, as long as im standing still at the moment, otherwise you hear your own footsteps and sometimes it makes me paranoid

i thought the einfield was terrible when i first started, but i picked it up and did well with it. if you can aim well its pretty good. commando is still my favorite, galil if you aren't high enough level. i don't think that the famas is powerful enough.

here are my 5 most used classes in order of amount used, all with frag, flashbang, claymore

1:
spas-silencer
python-acog
ghost, steady aim, hacker(sometimes ninja or second chance pro)
*note- never ads with the spas. its hard as shit to hit anything. hip fire+ steady aim takes care of anything.

2:
mpl-rapid fire
python-quick reloader
lightweight
steady aim
second chance pro (or marathon)

3:
commando-nube tube
scavenger (or flak jacket)
slight of hand
hacker

4:
olympia
python-acog
lightweight
steady aim
marathon

5: only use when someone is popping lots of copters or spy planes
ak74u-dual mag

ghost pro

second chance or marathon

i let my roommates use 6 and 7. 6 is a sniper class and 7 is another mpl with a different load out.

marathon (or ninja)


I started using concussion grenades while doing one of the pro perks. If you haven't tried them, you should. I like how they basically freeze the enemy in place - toss a quick one around a corner where you know someone is and then they are a sitting duck. I found with flash grenades they too often back away and lay down, or I would flash myself and it lasted forever

I also like Flak Jacket with a Stoner with red dot, and Marathon

And I of course have a silenced class with Ghost Pro and Ninja Pro and silenced weapon to call when necessary

For whatever reason, I can't hip fire the 74u for shit, even with the grip. But with the other SMGs I rarely ever go ADS.

better range and a lot more power. it's a blast, you don't have to be right beside someone for a one shot kill like the spas.

i think the steakout is the worst, i don't think it has the same spread so you have to be pretty accurate which hurts if you are sprinting and shooting from the hip. the pump action takes way too long for me, i like that with the olympia i have that second shot if i need it.

with the olympia you have to get into the habit of switching to your secondary instead of trying to reload when in a heated situation. equip a python and get into the habit of switching to it and you will be murdering some bitches. i like the python with the acog because i can snipe people across a map. i love sitting upstairs in the one room with a shotgun and blasting people then python-sniping people when they walk down the metal walkway or get onto the elevated metal platform diagonally across the map.

I have both also and XBL is 10x better than PSN, although I have not done the pay for service on the PSN network yet. I am really only using it for blue ray and GT5. Anyway, I hate these arguments - yet I somehow always voice my opinion anyway.

I also have 360 and PS3 along with Black Ops on both. PSN is a fucking joke and the PS3 is nothing more than a paperweight. If it wasn't for the fact that it was a gift I would toss the piece of shit in the trash. The only perk is it plays Blu Ray and with the cost of the blu ray players dropping PS3 doesn't have much left to offer...free online?...get the fuck out of here with that garbage. I would much rather pay to play on Xbox live because at least 95% of the time it fucking works where as with PSN you spend 95% of your time trying to get into a match. And the other 5% getting disconnected once you finally get into a match. On top of that I may not be the greatest player but the people on PSN that I have played suck.

mildew the paid version isn't worth it...just lets you download certain things "free" (how is it free if you are paying for PSN?) And I think it gives you early access to some demos or something like that. And themes that are not available to non paid members. At the moment it is nothing special.
