The thing is...he probably would be immediately rubber stamped as a murderer.

If you don't think if races were reversed (except for white instead of latino) that the black guy wouldn't have immediately been locked up...then I don't really know what to tell you. I'm not a "THAT'S RACIST" type of guy...but it's definitely a factor in law enforcement and situations such as these.

It doesn't matter who is screaming, if you can convince a jury that it is (highly likely) Trayvon's voice then there you go, this is just based on that there is more than a reasonable doubt that it is the voice of Mr. Zimmerman (any reasonable person would agree). Why was anyone screaming at all?

Honestly Florida has to be the worst state to live in a) cheated in Bush/Kerry election b) wasted over 170 MILLION dollars testing people for drugs who applied for welfare (trying to save money)c) a ridiculous self-defense law - the fiduciary responsibility of the state is poor, and I don't think I will ever visit this state until they get this law worked out, since I could just be shot because someone thought I was going to harm them.

i know. it was pretty crazy how they wanted to only recount heavily democratic leaning counties and ignore the rest. even worse, they wanted to ignore the actual law that said how votes were to be counted. and let's not even get into them trying to throw out all of those military ballots that were sitting in the election offices days before the election

I was skimming this thread looking for articles and I found this gem.

First, who ever hears the word "goon"??

Second, growing up in rural Eastern North Carolina, I heard the word "coon" plenty of times from people under 40. I heard it plenty of times at NC State. And I still hear it every now and then living in South Carolina.

I don't know what's going on with the phone call and whether or not he said a racial slur. But if I had to put money on it being "coon" or "goon"....my money is definitely going on "coon".
