I'd like to be able to speculate about future events like we did with Lost, Sopranos, etc. without worrying about folks who've read the books. Therefore, I propose we proceed as if the books don't exist, and treat the TV series as a completely separate entity. Its the only way to ensure the readers don't always feel the need to add their two cents in the form of "Well, in the book, it happened this way..." etc. Just pretend that this is a original series, devoid of any literary inspiration. Block the books from your mind. It shouldn't be this complicated. For the purposes of this thread, George RR Martin doesn't exist. The show is canon, pure and simple.

Remember Robb purposely pulled Tywin's forces east away from Jamie's. Robb then took Jamie's forces out and effectively cut off Tywin's supply lines from Lannisport. Since Tywin doesn't have reinforcements, he can't proceed further north (I assume this due to the fact that he is holed up at Harrenhall). I also assume that Robb doesn't want to go anywhere near King's Landing because then he would have to deal with Stannis' forces.

It's a pretty cool strategy; divide the Lanisters between King's Landing and Lannisport and let Stannis fuck up King's Landing while Robb takes out Lannisport. Robb probably thinks he can broker a peace with Stannis.

^^ I think that is the way to go about it, however all it takes is one person who has read the books or looked up spoilers wanting to be right about a prediction, so they "predict" something they know to be true.

^^^^^Personally, I'd rather them continue to focus the money on all the detail in the sets, props, costumes, etc. than blow their budget on multiple battle scenes. Decent battle scenes are extremely expensive to shoot and they're stretching HBO's budget for a show as is.

Very good episode though.

I am beginning to get bored with Arya. Her line is stagnating.

Same with Snow actually.

All the excitement is in Kings Landing and with Theon.

I have no doubt it will pick up but it feels like it is in a mid-season slump where they are just arranging pieces without much to do.

seriously, from everything i've heard, taking a mans head off is no easy feat. that was probably a rather good example of how it would actually go in the real world. the previous examples in the show just go to show how bad ass Ice is beause it was made from valyrian steel
