If all of their starters leave, he will not have a lot of experience surrounding him.

If they all leave you've got to think Brown and Leslie are both front runners for 1st team ACC and potential ACC POY candidates. With Howell as a potential 2nd or 3rd teamer.

yeah if you're macadoo, the only thing you can really do is hurt your stock going forward. If they think you're a top 10 pic already how much value does it add to be a top 5 pic versus how much you lose if you come back and lose 10 spots. 3/28/2012 4:05:46 PM |

If he can go that high, then no doubt he should leave. But they also have Cody Zeller going before Tyler, which is just absurd. 3/28/2012 4:11:02 PM |

Its funny that they have McAdoo so high, considering he got absolutely abused by CJL when they went head to head in the ACC tournament game. I'd take CJL any day over him...

Fixed it.
I'd even go as far to say CJL would take Robinson from UK. When left 1 on 1, CJL was basically unstoppable in the last 8 to 9 games of the season. Foul trouble and refs excluded.. 3/28/2012 5:07:00 PM |

stupid reaching fouls are what happens when you get beat on your feet. they're very much a result of poor defense. 3/28/2012 6:21:18 PM |

Or when you go for a steal.
Bumps, wrap-ups, hold-ups, and interfering with the shooter (hand on the arm/hand/shove) are fouls that are a result of a inability to defend or from poor positioning (foot speed etc) or from not taking the charge correctly. 3/28/2012 6:34:59 PM |

i mean, Lewis didn't have an amazing game last night, so it's to be expected from a rival school... heck, if the shoe were on the other foot after last night's game i'd be second-guessing lewis as well. just natural thing for rivals to do when discussing recruits.
but it does remind me of their talk regarding TA McLendon - "too slow, didn't play against real competition, not the kind of RB Bunting wants, we're better off with (whoever the hell they had who sucked back then), etc etc" 3/29/2012 4:03:31 PM |

The sad thing is, it's not like they'll have a bad lineup next year. They won't be as big but they'll have plenty of talent and depth in the back court. If McAdoo does come back, it's easily a top 20 roster. Now whether they will actually play that well is up in the air, but most teams would still kill for their roster. 3/29/2012 4:25:42 PM |

i'm just glad those two 7-foot assholes are gone 3/29/2012 4:27:41 PM |
jbrick83 All American 23447 Posts user info edit post |
If Macadoo leaves, their frontcourt will be awfully thin. If he comes back, then they can be top 15 if their guards play up to their potential. I mean...they'll have Bullock, Strickland, MacDonald, and Hairston at both the guard spots with PLENTY of experience. Those are McDAA and top 50 guys. Add Paige (McDaa) and Tokoto, another top 50/60 guy...and that's talent 95% of the country's teams would kill for.
But it's down low where they will struggle. Macadoo comes back...they are fine and will fight for an ACC title. He leaves...and they will be a middle of the road ACC team. They could overachieve and fight for the top, or underachieve and miss the tourney.
Roy will definitely have his job cut out for him next year.
Oh...and this:

We will DOMINATE them in the paint next year with those two shot-blocking douchebags gone. Fuck...CJL needs to come back and just have a dunkfest at the Dean Dome next year (wait...do we even play them in Chapel Hill next year with the new schedule??).

Here we go, Barnes = Lebron,
Quote : | "Remember in the 2010 NBA playoffs when it looked to some people like Lebron kind of stopped trying against the Celtics in the playoffs? People were saying he had checked out cuz he already knew he was bolting to Miami in the off-season, and the further Cleveland got in the playoffs that year the harder it would be for him to leave (in the eyes of the fans at least).
I think we can all agree that after Kendall went down, Barnes appeared disinterested at times and played pretty poorly. Maybe he saw that he had no chance at a title without Kendall, knew he was going pro anyways, so he checked out too.
The big difference between the two situations is that had UNC won it all this year, we would be a lot more ok with Harrison leaving. But had Bron won the finals in 2010 and then still left for Miami, Dan Gilbert may have tried to murder him." |
