Here's a note of advice.

if you're ever in south china, and your buddies decide to book a private room at a nice restaurant

it's going to have a karaoke setup

PRO-TIP:

If they ask if you want wine or beer, dont say both.

Chinese wine is just a rice spirit that tastes like everclear and is like 140 proof.

so if you go with both, you'll be pounding 1 oz shots all night long along side of beers and a few hours worth of food.

and dont worry, no matter how purple they get, they'll drink you under.

You mean like sake? Most of that stuff is ~15-20% alcohol. It just tastes like ass which makes it seem stronger than it really is.

Rice...Just because you can make alcohol from it doesn't mean you should. It would be different if we didn't live in a global economy, but we do.
