Hope the guy listened to me when I said Palmer over Huard, haha.

So yeah, despite good performances by LT, McNabb, and S. Jackson, I looked doomed as he had Frank Gore, Romo, Stallworth, and W. Parker. Ugh.

ugh.

The Guru could be fucked this week.

I need 35 points from Delhomme.

It is possible considering this scoring format:

1 point per 25 yards passing.
3 point bonus at 300 yards.
6 points per passing TD
+/- .5 points per completion/incompletion

basically I need Delhomme to go:

20-30 300yds, 3 TD's
or
18-30 175, 4 TD's

It could happen.

Rushing yards would also help, but Delhomme isnt known for his feet. Either way, it looks like I'm fucked this week.

OK this may be more of a rhetorical question for me to work out on my own, but if anyone feels strongly about this one way or the other feel free:

I'm currently 6-3 in my league, tied for 1st in my division (2 divisions, about to be 6-4 and tied for 2nd after I don't get 63 points tonight) There are 3 more weeks left before playoffs (Top 2 teams in each division plus the next 2 best records make it), and I will be playing against a team that score an average of 15 points more than, and 2 teams that I score only 4 points more than.

We start 2 RB, 2 WR, and 1 flex RB/WR...TE gets a little boost on points when they have good games to make them a bit stronger

I have Tony Gonzales. Do I:

A) Trade one of my extra WR (Roy Williams, Galloway, Reggie Brown, Cotchery) or RB (Steven Jackson, Cadillac, Anthony Thomas) for a semi-decent TE, use him to help me win the next couple weeks, be pretty confident I'll make the playoffs, and have a good backup for when Gonzales gets back in case he gets hurt again or comes back weak

B) Pick up a crappy TE off the wire, hope for wins, not be completely confident about the playoffs, but probably will make it with just 1, definitely 2 more wins, and have a full squad without giving anyone up when Gonzales gets back

A sad 1-3 week for me.

Team Rank Record Score Comment
Facetious Ferrets 1/8 10-0 82-67 Pretty mediocre week, but a favorable matchup again.
Unstable Isotopes 2/10 7-3 57-103 Went up against LT and Ocho Cinco.
Tropically Depressed 3/6 4-6 253.88-262.92 Another bad matchup. Up against Palmer and LT.
Ravaging Storms 7/10 4-6 77-116 Against Parker and Gore.

Clinton Portis is expected to be placed on injured reserve, which would end his 2006 season, the Washington Post reported Tuesday afternoon. Initially, it was thought Portis might return after three to four weeks, but following surgery on his broken hand Monday, the team has reportedly decided to shut him down for the year.

Though this news isn't altogether unexpected, it confirms the worst fears of Portis' fantasy owners. Portis can't be labeled a bust, because he scored seven touchdowns in eight games, but injuries marred a season that many thought could have been among the most productive in fantasy football. He should still be considered a top five back heading into 2007 and remains an extremely valuable keeper.

just picked him up in two leagues

now, who should I start at RB this week? (I have LJ as my RB1)

Betts vs. TB or
Dunn vs. Baltimore

leaning towards Betts just because Dunn plays against the stingy Ravens D, but Dunn has been pretty reliable all season... what do you guys think?

^same dilemma. Dunn has been solid but pretty disappointing for me (I'm in a dogfight for first, and the other guys have LT, LJ, etc. Can't be bringing some weak shit). I can't see how they can run on the ravens D. Vick might open it up, I suppose.

I'm going with Lundy, A Train, and Parker and am sitting Dunn.

Stallworth for my WR

pick 1 WR
Plaxico at JAX
Galloway vs Washington
L. Coles vs Chicago
Santana moss at Tampa Bay

pick 2 RB
Edge vs Detriot
Rudi johnson vs. New Orleans
Ladell Betts at Tampa Bay
Addai vs Dallas

yea, the Detroit run D was terrible but Edge isnt gettin a ton of carries either with this new OC...its a tough call

as for Addai I was gonna go with him and Johnson since Parker had such a huge day...but now im leaning away from that, its a reallllllllllly vital call this week, i need TDs not yards, our league scores a ton off TDs

in addition, the Giants run D is 8th overall, Dallas is 17th, Green Bay is 26th, NO is actually 3rd, TB is 24th, and Detroit is 27th, Washington at 23

Pick Two:

Delhomme vs. Rams

P.Riv @ Broncos

Grossman @ Jets

I have these QBs on most of my teams and I'm wondering who would be the one to sit this week.

My Team is playing like crap, but I play the two worst teams in the next two weeks. I'm one game from last place, but I'm one game from fourth. #4,5 & 6 all play #1,2 & 3 this week, so I think I can make a playoff push.

This is an uber-competitive league, as seen by the parity. I've never seen a league where everyone is so clumped together.

Is Andre Johnson (HOU) and Ronnie Brown (MIA) for Peyton Manning(IND) and Clinton Portis(WSH) a bad deal ? Keep in mind this is a keeper league with 2 keepers. I was thinking of counter-offering Manning and Julius Jones (HOU) but I'm not sure if thats any better.

I have the same 2 QB and it's a tough call to sit Rivers after last week, but I'm going to.

Other than his one bad week last week Bulger has been absolute money all year...pretty much only behind Manning and McNabb as far as fantasy QB go
