But that sword was one of the better monk swords I have ever seen, so really I probably could've gotten more in gold. Though I don't know what I would do with it.

Tried that act 1 run but continue to run into elite scavenger packs that almost always have Fast, making them impossible to kill as a Wizard. So I'm stuck farming A4 Hell for now.

Can you post your hp/res/dps and skill setup you used for it? Also how long did it take?

Wyloch you should add me in game and Zags and do Act1 runs with us. In an hour or so everyone in our group usually gets at least one item they can either use or sell on the AH for 250k+ if not a lot more. Plus we can share items so if we get something that is an upgrade for you and you want it. It isn't giving you 500k, but almost as good.

Yeah I have been running act 1 killing like 15 elites that you can reach quickly and moving on. Sometimes I will throw a pony clear in. I would be more then happy to take anyone else along, just not for ponies, those are impossible with others in game.

I've been doing Act 1 inferno full clears since the patch came out. I kill absolutely everything and hit up most of the rocks. Takes around 2 hours. Need to do a lot of farming before I can afford a 1200 dps claw.

On hit and spam acid cloud. MObs end up just frozen in place.

guys. I dont think im even trolling here. this game is fucking mediocre at best. It's a click based palette swap of WoW wih shitty POV options and monotonous dungeon crawling.... It's turnning blizzard's fan-base into friggin gill farmers like chinese inmates. character creation is cool but you only get a good view of your duds at the select screen.
the whole damn game looks like it was created with the Donkey Kong Country engine

That game may have sucked, but Borderlands is close to a Diablo-like FPS, and it was great.

I decided to give the build a shot. I guess it was OK? I tried it without the Passive +20% mana and 1% regen rune, so maybe that would help, but to summarize my experience: "I don't have enough mana". I guess some more mana regen and + mana gear as well?

You gave Firebomb flack for slow cast, but spiders are significantly worse. Slow cast animation + slow travel speed + animation for spiders to leave the jar and the fact that enemies can out run them. I guess I just hate the ability because it embodies the very worst of the WD. The only Spider runes I think are decent are Leaping Spiders and maybe Spider Queen. Leaping spiders get the best distance in the game since its Jar + Leap (and no bypassing them). They also ignore things with shields. Spider Queen is interesting in AE builds, and her ticks appear to proc abilities (Freeze, maybe LoH, etc) though perhaps all spiders do that.

Fire Bats are tough. On one hand, they hit hard. On the other, they are unreliable since they weave. Nothing is more frustrating than to cast a 110 mana spell at something right in front of you and have the bat weave around it. More Graphics Studio choices vs functionality issues I suppose. It also drives me nuts that it starts behind me, so if I have a wall to my back it will hit it and dissipate. Wish it acted more like the comparable Wizard / DH abilities and didn't have this flaw.

i'm pretty confused about extra abilities from weapons (elemental damage, leech, etc.) i know it converts to some basic spells, like dart. but what if you have a fire weapon and cast blizzard, for example? does it do both?

played WoW for a month and hated it, no matter how hard i tried to like it. quality all around, just wasn't my thing. Played D3 for 20 hrs straight when the beta finished DLing. It's fucking world of warcraft with clunky crane cam visuals and somehow WoW even friggin LOOKS better.
It plays like a free flash based browser game only it costs 60 fucking dollars and it wont work at all if your internet gets all wonky.

I am struggling to get my damage number up. I am doing OK farming Act 1 Inferno, but the char display says I only have 14k damage, and i believe it.

I am a WD using a 850 dps 2 hander. Nothing better has dropped for me in a very long time.

Any thoughts? Should i be stacking int?

What makes a legendary even more legendary is the tiny percent of them that are actually usable/sellable for anything. Not only do you have to get one of the few that actually help but then you have to hope for a good stat roll too.

I don't think they have to be the best items in the game, but they need to be improved. At this point I've had 3 drop all suck and I hope for lvl 62-63 rare amulets and rings over legendary items.

Legendaries used to only really be good for the stats on them which you typically couldn't get from that type of piece. The big one being IAS, which is now nerfed so that its not really as worth it anymore. I think there are still a few LoH ones as well as a few odd resistance once (String of Ears), but not much else.

At first I didn't like stacking Int because at low levels it appeared to be a joke. A 1-2 Dmg ring was outdoing 30 int. But now that the weapon dmg is much higher, Int it is!

I'd recommend saving up some money and getting a better weapon. I got a 900+ DPS Ceremonial Knife (1 handed) for around 1 Million. Its blue, so its only stats are the ones that give it extra damage and a 10 mana per second regen (which actually seems to help a lot).

Afterwards, you can probably find a cheap mojo offhand with +100-350 damage, which is going to be much better than your 850 DPS 2 hander. I actually have issues selling any 2 hander that is 1000 dps or less

Sure. With nothing active and no companion hired, I've got 38.6K health, 28.6K dps, 850 res all and 5000 armor. I did all of act 4 dual-wielding with the same setup, and I was surprised at how easy it was. I felt like the mob types were easier to deal with than stuff like the phasebeasts and soul rippers in act 3, so the elite and champion packs seemed significantly easier. The build I used was http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/monk#bXYigh!ZXU!ZbcZaa. Killed Diablo with 5 NV and never had to outright run from anything. All of Act 4 took about an hour--maybe 7-8 minutes for the big guy himself.

I used the enchantress with her armor boost, so keeping Evasion and Blazing Wrath up constantly gives me 33K dps, 6800 armor, and 47% dodge, with Deadly Reach boosting armor by 50% more pretty consistently in combat and bursts from other skills.

You can fairly knock the graphics, but gameplay is king for online games. Graphics will draw the customers in initially, but the gameplay makes them stay. If you really don't like D3, I suggest that you stop posting in the D3 thread. I'm sure you have better things to do, yes?

I have been searching for items with the following attributes, and it doesn't seem like a lot are on the AH. Everytime I look for an upgrade, there is only a 1 page selection:

-Indestructable
-All Resist 60+
-Magic Find 16+

Just trying to see how much more work I need to do before it is more about me just not dying and less about the equipment. I just started dual wielding and using weapons w/ life on spirit + life leach and getting some LoH amulets/rings. Not spending much really, but act 2 is now really easy. Can't tell if it is the nerf, or just how bad the WD really was.

^^Definitely the nerf. My WD plows through Act 2 right now. I think its better farming than Act 3 just because of how much faster I can do it.

And gear that is No Durability Loss, All Resist, and MF/GF will definitely be selling for huge numbers. My guess is that people don't realize its value and they put it up cheap and the farmer bots grab it immediately.
