I'd say 95% of the people I've met off TWW (that I didn't know) have been pretty chill... of course nearly all of those were the social kind who I saw at bars or the athletic kind that I played basketball with. There are plenty of people on here who are awkward I'm sure.

^2 Even if I got a matching tragus my ears wouldn't be completely symmetrical as far as piercings go. I have on my left ear my cartilage pierced (I used to have an industrial) and 2 holes in the lobe... Right ear has tragus, rook, and 2 holes in the lobe

^2 Why can't she go with you? I feel like you should at least give it a chance. If your relationship is strong enough (which it seems to be), you will survive. I know it's scary... but you have worked really hard and if it's a great opportunity she should be able to understand why you would want to take it, even if it means seeing each other less over the next 2 years.

no family or friends there
etc.

i'm only guaranteed a job there for 2 years. after that, they might bring me back to NC, try to leave me in FL, or say "bye!" altogether. she wouldn't wanna give up a good job here in NC to find a job in FL just to have to find another job in NC in 2 years. not a lot of openings in her line of work these days.

and the only way i would consider it is if i only worked there 2 years. i wouldn't wanna get anything permanent down there.

That's why I said you have to determine whether it's worth it or not, silly If you move down there, would your salary be significantly higher compared to what you would make here? And when compared to the cost of living, would it be significantly higher than what you would be pulling in on average after bills, etc? And you didn't answer my question of why DeeMarie can't go with you... It sounds like you're set on marriage so I don't see why that's totally out.
