You're doing your thing, but your loss column doesn't contain a goose egg like mine

I'm not really surprised we have the best two records though, kind sir

Sorry for the lame questions again, but do you guys think there's anyone on the waiver wire worth using my 2nd position? Should I try to grab Ivory for Tolbert? I'm tied for 1st in this 12 team league so it's a strong argument that I just stay with what I have and wait until the post-season to start fucking with my roster.

Quote :
"QB - Ben Roethlisberger (PIT)
RB - Steven Jackson (STL)
RB - Mike Tolbert (SD)
WR - Miles Austin (DAL)
WR - Terrell Owens (CIN)
WR - Marques Colston (NO)
RB/WR - Dexter McCluster (KC)
TE - Tony Gonzalez (ATL)
RB/WR/TE - Felix Jones (DAL)
K - Matt Prater (DEN)
D/ST - Tennessee Defense (TEN)
BN - Jay Cutler (CHI)
BN - Michael Vick (PHI)
BN - Donald Brown (IND)
BN - Austin Collie (IND)
BN - DeSean Jackson (PHI)"

Already picked up Branch. I have some injuries (Vick, Floyd, DeShawn Jackson) and some bye weeks (Dallas Clark, Jets D, Anthony Gonzalez). I am probably stuck with Tolbert as the flex option this week, hopefully he at least steals a goal line TD.

Should I drop Anthony Gonzalez (should be back next week) or Tolbert for Lee Evans? My bench has to carry D. Jackson, Floyd, McFadden, Vick until one of them is oficially ruled out (probably won't be until Friday) and the others are on byes.

Yahoo must have fucked up the scoring on Orton on Sunday night. I checked the scores and both me and my opponent's players had all finished their games. I won by 2 pts and Orton had ~20 pts. This morning I check and see that I lost by 4 pts and Orton only had ~14 pts. I assume they gave him credit for Tebow's TD mistakenly.

Anyway just another dissappointment in what has easily been my worst fantasy football year ever. All of my teams are Damn you Shon Greene, Randy Moss, Ryan Grant, Brett Farve, etc.

^ Yeah I was following this game on gametracker and it kept reading Orton TD pass from Kyle Orton. For a while I thought he had one swatted back and caught it, scored.

So what do you guys think about these starters?

QB:
Favre vs Packers - My pick speculating on pure emotional game here
Fitzpatrick vs Ravens
Young vs Eagles

RBs (pick 3)
Bradshaw vs Cowboys
Hillis vs Saints
Turner vs Bengals
McCoy vs Titans - Thinking about benching b/c of how the Titans handled MJD last night but I also hate Turner so it's a toss up

^Fitz, Hillis, McCoy, Bradshaw... no offense but you'd have to be dumb as a brick to play Favre. in the last 5 games he averages 7.8 and that's because of one big 16 pt game, lol

Who should I pick off the waiver, need a WR
Dwayne Bowe, KC WR
Mike Williams, Sea WR
Buster Davis, SD WR
Deion Branch, NE WR

^^^Id play McCoy over Turner because Titans D is still middle of the road against the rush. Its different when you're playing the Jaguars who are basically one-dimensional and a team like the Eagles that can open the field up.

^^Bowe or Branch

lol I played my fiance in a new keeper league some of us started this week- she needed chris johnson to get 19.27 points to win- he got her 19.10... I haven't told her about this yet, and I'm wondering if I will (she probably won't check her team again until thursday)

in other news, I am no longer undefeated in my big(ger) money league... 5-1 now, but my points will probably drag me down to 3rd. I need some receivers, stat- or just have steve smith not suck so bad. And this week isn't going to be any better with peyton and clark out, and still a questionable Run DMC

^^that's tough- it is hard to say who Eli will be throwing it to week to week. Branch had alot of targets, but I think they used him more than they will in the future, simply because they were banking on baltimore not recoginzing him as a threat. I like branch better than manningham, but that is just my personaly opinion.

^i'd have to say crabtree, because I'm just waiting for him to have his 20pt week

I'm in desperate need of some receivers. Here's what I've got right now for next week:

Santana Moss @CHI
Jabar Gaffney vs. OAK
Brandon Tate @SD
Larry Fitzgerald @SEA
Johnny Knox vs. WASH
Josh Cribbs @NO

1) We play in a 2 QB, 3 WR, 1 WR/RB/TE league, and I need to pick up someone for Schaub this week, so I'm thinking of picking up Josh Freeman and dropping Cribbs.

2) Any thoughts on the rest? I thought Tate vs. the SD "special" teams might be interesting, but otherwise these guys are all about the same. Here are the top points guy up on waivers that I could try to pull:

Kenny Britt vs. PHI
Steve Johnson @ BAL
Nate Washington vs. PHI
Davone Bess @ PIT
Mike Thomas @ KC
Danny Woodhead @ SD

^^^ Drop Cribbs for your QB fill in. Tate might be the only other one worth dropping. Knox is ok now that Cutler is back, and Gaffney will get you a good ~7 points per week, but he won't wow you. Kenny Britt is the next best on your waiver list with Bess not far behind.

^^ Lynch

I need a spot on the roster for a bye week TE (D. Clark) and I don't have any players I feel comfortable dropping so I'm looking to make a 2 for 1 trade.

Here are some options:

Lynch & Torain for D. Williams or J. Charles or LT or Hillis or Forte or S. Jax (prob need to offer more for him)

Would also be willing to sub in either J. Best or R. Mathews for Lynch or Torain but not both

1) Do these seem fair?
2) Rank Williams/Charles/LT/Hillis/Forte going forward.

1) yes
2) LT, Hillis, Forte, Williams, Charles

4-1 this week... i would have been 5-0 had Mercedes Lewis not fumbled. I was up by 1 point, he fumbled, -2, lost by 1 point. errrrr.

So, I've been trying to shop around Cutler for a decent RB, but have had no success. One of the guys in my league has 7 of his players on BYE, and several more that are injured.

His team:

Current Starters:
Hill, Shaun QB DET (bye)
Blount, LeGarrette RB TB
Sproles, Darren RB SD
Cribbs, Josh WR CLE (hurt)
Johnson, Calvin WR DET (bye)
Johnson, Andre WR HOU (bye)
Clark, Dallas TE IND (bye)
Folk, Nick K NYJ (bye)
Saints DST

Reserves:
Stafford, Matthew QB DET (bye)
Vick, Michael QB PHI (hurt)
Brown, Donald RB IND (bye)
McFadden, Darren RB OAK (hurt)
Smith, Steve WR CAR (hurt)

Was thinking about trading him Cutler and Shockey for Vick/McFadden or McFadden/S. Smith, as I have Big Ben at QB, Hernandez at TE (their BYE weeks are done). I have DeSean Jackson, so a decent WR pickup would be nice, but I've put in a request for Mike Williams (SEA). Any opinions on this trade? I figured I could take advantage of a guy desperate for a chance at winning this week (the guy isn't in my division and I've beaten him already).

If it's not fair, then so be it. There isn't much he can do with picking up guys off waivers in our 16-team league. Just trying to initiate trade conversation. I have made trade proposals that I thought were relatively fair to two other teams with flat out rejections, no counter offers. I'm more than willing to make a fair trade.

got a couple

main one is my qb's are sanchez and schaub, both are bye in 7. plan to drop sanchez, looks like best candidates are:

Cassel vs Jac
Freeman vs StL
Smith @ Car

Leaning toward Cassel

Also, in PPR league,

good idea to drop Pierre Thomas (injuries, platoon) for Felix Jones?

good idea to drop Steve Smith (Car) (injuries, horrible horrible offense) for Dwayne Bowe, Mike Williams (Sea) or Deion Branch?

^^^ I'm in a similar situation, for you I'd go with Cassel.

Would starting both Cassel and Bowe be putting too many eggs in the "Jacksonville's Pass D Sucks" basket? I have Bowe and am planning to start him this week. I need a new QB this week and other than Cassel my options are Kolb, Hasselbeck, and Freeman. Thoughts?

fuck- waivers fucked me

I wanted to pick up woodhead (to replace one of my 3 injured receivers) and a TE

it gave me the TE and no woodhead (gave him to someone else)- Breaston is supposedly about to come back, but I don't like him enough to pick him up. There was another interesting pickup available in receivers, that I would totally do, if I could afford to bench someone for a couple of weeks (but I can't mention it here due to the other schmucks in my league that might come in here and take my idea!)

waivers is like the draft. it goes in order and you get one pick per round. so you have to prioritize your waivers.

on Vernon Davis injury:
Quote :
"The MRI results for Davis' knee came back negative, Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reports.

Spin: The MRI revealed no structural damage to Davis' knee, just a bruise. He is still considered day-to-day. Double check his status on Wednesday once the week's first official injury report is released."

this guy i'm playing is retarded, or he's got some trading behind the scenes.

he has 3 RB's (capped at 3) and HAS to play 2 RB's this week. he's accepted a trade for one RB for a WR, and the other 2 RB's have BYEs this week, so he will have 0 RB's he can play unless he picks up crap on the waiver. this could be good, lol

i lucked the fuck out with my bye week defense

I have the Jets defense, they have a bye week, so who do I pick up off waivers?

The Baltimore Ravens defense, who is hosting the winless Buffalo Bills, the only team arguably worse than the Carolina Panthers

Anyone else thinking Patrick Crayton could be a fantasy steal this week? He has become a bigger part of the offense, had a huge game vs St. Louis, and Floyd, Nannee, and Gates (who will probably play) are all injured. I dropped Anthony Gonzalez, who I stashed away last week, for Crayton out of necessity but he should be San Diego's number one receiver.

Also, I was able to pick up Branch and the Ravens defense (Jets on a bye) so feeling pretty good about this week's roster moves even if my team is crippled from byes and injuries.

16 team PPR League I have the option of picking up Bess or Clayton. Whoever I pick up probably has to play this week considering I have Wayne on a bye and Malcolm Floyd is the other starter.

I get one waiver move a week and can only have 4 WRs on the roster...basically I need production this week but I would also like a long term option:

Bess or Clayton?

One would think Crayton would be a good pickup, but Gates appears to be ok for playing on Sunday. (just a sprained big toe). Floyd looks like he'll only be out 1-2 weeks tops. So Crayton doesn't have much value past this week. Even so, I think if anything it'll be a good week for Ryan Matthews getting some good runs & short passes out of the backfield. Heck Naanee might even play. I think the only certainty is Floyd. So take Crayton with a huge grain of salt.

Take Bess. Crayton will diminish drastically once the starters come back.
