"anybody know if felix jones is coming back for this week? thoughts on devaluing demarco murray?

what about shonn greene? is that turd 100% or should i look into joe mcknight?

"

from cbssports.com

News: The Dallas Morning News reports Cowboys RB Felix Jones was put through and extensive workout on Monday, including doing cutting drills to test his injured left ankle. "He had a good workout," coach Jason Garrett said. "He's going to have another workout [Tuesday] and we'll see how he feels on Wednesday. We're certainly hopeful." Jones has not played since suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 6. Owner Jerry Jones said there is a chance Felix returns in Week 10 against the Bills. "I don't know to expect him back," Jerry said, "but he has a chance to come back."

Analysis: Jones has missed the last two games due to this injury but it appears as though he is making strides to get back on the field. However, the true test will come later in the week during practice so owners should keep an eye on his status going forward. The Cowboys take on the Bills in Week 10 and Jones is expected to remain the starter despite with the emergence of DeMarco Murray in the backfield. Consider Jones as no worse than a No. 2 Fantasy RB on Sunday, as long as he is able to suit up.

productionwise, he was only a borderline #2 when he was the every down back before he got hurt...now he's gonna somehow be better when he's coming off a serious injury and murray is clearly better than he is?

^ that was cbssports.com analysis, not my personal analysis. I don't see how Jones gets the job back, but you never know with Jerry Jones.

Matthews vs Raiders(coming off groin injury) or Mendenhall @ Bengals?

Rams D/ST @ Browns or Chargers D/ST vs Raiders?

i know, that's what makes it so bad.

^toss up between matthews and mendenhall, but I'd probably lean mendenhall b/c tolbers gonna get his

also close with the D's imo, but i'd go chargers untill palmer proves he's not gonna throw a variety of picks every game (and with mcfadden out)

Trade eval:

I get VJax, I give Jordy & Tolbert. Have McCoy, Bush (DMC on bench) at RB and Wallace, Manningham, L. Robinson & Percy at WR.

Really leaning toward doing it. Big game this weekend that will basically decide whether or not I make the playoffs.

I'm becoming really "blah" about my team. Seems as though it is never spectacular, and is more apt to have a horrible week than it is to be great. League has 3 divisions (4 teams each), 3 division winners and the person with the most points scored go to the playoffs. I am currently sitting in 4th, with about a 60 pt lead on the rest of the non-divison winning field.

QB Rivers
QB Freeman

RB Peterson
RB Matthews
RB Mendenhall
RB Felix Jones

WR Hakeem Nicks
WR Steve Smith (car)
WR Dez Bryant
WR Brandon LLoyd
WR Pierre Garcon

TE Jimmy Graham

Not really sure how to improve it either.

IDK about that one. Rivers may actually be coming around, and if thats the case, VJAX and Jennings would pretty much cancel each other out. Who knows if Hillis will be decent again this year. I doubt it.
But looking at your other RB's, it seems like you could live with that, so sure why not go for it.

I wouldnt take that trade either. Gates is not the player he used to be. He's overweight, slow, and still nursing that turf toe injury he's had for the last 6 years. Rivers rapport with Jackson is great and now that their through the first half of the year with the tough CBs from teams like KC, NYJ, etc, the rest of the season matchups look good for them. Rodgers spreads the ball around too much and Hillis is done. He will never be what he used to be. Also, with the running game injured in San Diego, the passing game will surely benefit.

What the hell? Is everyone else in your league a retard at drafting or are you in a 4 person league.

Turner, Gore, and Rice should be in every week at your 2 RBs and FLex position. Hillis will never start in your lineup.

^it is a league where pass TDs are 6 points, so most of the teams went big QB in the first or second round.

I didn't know if the consistency you get with Jennings is worth taking the chance. I mean Jackson has 97 pts this year I think, but like 60 of those have been in 2 games.

We play 2 RBs and a flex, it was an 8 team league.

Jones-Drew @ IND 16.41

This is the scoring settings for the leauge:

DFR - Defensive/ST Fumble Recovered (ID/DT/DST) 2 points
DTD - Total Defensive and Special Teams TD 6 points
Int - Interceptions 2 points

PA - Points Against, Total Points Scored 0 - 6 PA = 8 points
7 - 13 PA = 6 points
14 - 20 PA = 4 points
21 - 27 PA = 2 points

SACK - Sack 1 point
STY - Safety 2 points

YDS - Yards Allowed
0 - 49 YDSs = 12 points
50 - 99 YDSs = 10 points
100 - 149 YDSs = 8 points
150 - 199 YDSs = 6 points
200 - 249 YDSs = 4 points
250 - 299 YDSs = 2 points

So stick with Bears, or pick up Redskins, Rams, Chargers, or Bengals?

Maybe you guys see something I don't, but I would be going with the Chargers. You can throw out that game against GB last week, nobody can stop that offense. Plus they are playing at home, always a plus for D/ST (IMO).

^I think KC has enough athleticism on defense to contain the option attack. That said, I have Tebow on my bench this week (behind Brees), so he's guaranteed for a good game

Both QBs have away games, I would go with Stafford, and Helu.

McCluster vs. Denver
or
Torrey Smith @ Seattle

also
Rivers vs. Oakland
or
Stafford @ Chicago

I'd go Torrey Smith and Stafford

KC shut the bed last week so who knows what they'll do even against a bad Denver team...even though the game is at Seattle and he has had some drops, Smith has more upside than Dexter this week...and I think the Chargers lean on the running game, whereas Detroit will have to air it out more

flex play in a PPR league? Desean Jackson has been bad, but here are my options:

Desean Jackson vs. ARI
Antonio Brown @ CIN
Laurent Robinson vs. BUF
Shonn Greene vs. NE

currently I have Greene plugged in versus NE's suspect defense, but I am uncertain

I would usually go with greene, b/c I usually prefer RBs to WRs, simply because they are usually more consistent. However, Jackson has a good matchup this week, and has a much higher chance of a monster game. It depends on how much you need the high-risk/high-reward play.

I need a trade eval:

I give:
Beanie Wells
Jordy Nelson

I get:
Frank Gore

Wells will have his knee issue all year. I bet they go to more of a by committee approach. Get Gore.

Tebow or Rivers this week? Tebow is a rushing machine but generally sucks as a passer. Rivers is a passing machine but has a crazy amount of turnovers.

^^^Even though Ward is participating, I would give Brown a look. While Cincy has a good pass D, Wallace will get a lot of attention and Browns targets have been steadily climbing for about 4 week I believe. However, Greene wouldn't be a bad choice, they committed to him last week, though NE run D is significantly better than Buffalo's.

^^Depends on your other RBs and WRs but just by face value I would definitely make that trade. 49ers end of season schedule is pretty soft, I think Baltimore is the last good D they face.

^Toss up. KC's D might show up this week after that embarrassment. I do think Tebow has more upside, but Rivers turned it on last week. If I needed major points from my QB I would probably go with Tebow, but Rivers is the safer play.

ok... I am in a real quandary about the whole tebow/schaub thing... every week I think, no way does TimTimTebow out perform, but I continue to be wrong. I think I'm gonna start him this week and allow him to suck so I don't have to worry about it next week

^I agree... I can't trust matthews either, and we know RunDMC aint playing (at least as far as I know he wont be in tonight on the short week).
