yeah, but can a radiant skin or self rez warlock survive a high impact sniper headshot? plus you got the ram too. i main a warlock and dont know the answer to that. can a blade dancer? it would be an interesting experiment to see if a amour of light titan can survive a sniper headshot even though it would be nearly impossible in game.

you've never played striker?

Fists of panic does just fine at destroying people if you know how to use it (rush heavy)

and shoulder charge is the only one hit melee in the game and the shit doesn't have a cool down.

In summary

hunter:

Blade dancer: has no over shield and pretty much just does what a sword can do for any class now except it cant block.

Gunslinger: has 3 shots of instant death with no over shield

Void Walker: Gets 1 projectile now with no over shield and some of the worst grenades in the game. does have nifty evade move and a cool radar tho (barely worth mentioning)

Warlock:

Radiance with radiant skin makes them tanky with tons of grenades + poops orbs with any kind of weapon kill
gets an over shield with every single melee

Void walker: does pretty much the same area of affect with nova bomb as a striker with fists of panic, regens health on melee, Nothing manacles gives epic grenades, not like the axion bolt and its seekers weren't already OP.

Sith lord chains lightning, easily kills masses of people especially with groudfall and then sith lord hoverness.
has great grenades

Titan

Bubble bro... has bubbles and some decent grenades (sorry other than control i feel they're worthless in PVP

Striker... aka the water boy... if you see one charging run, or else you're dead. Good grenades, 1 hit kill shoulder charge and a super that kills anything near you when you get surrounded.

Hammer time... MOTHER FUCKING INVINCIBLE and gets more (double) single shot kill weapons/projectiles whatever the fuck you want to call them than any class in the game great grenades and over all tanky.


Here is how much i hate playing against titans in the crucible... i have started using sleeper stimulant as my heavy just because it crits at 749 damage which means i can kill anything no matter what they are.

that being said i'm unlocking it on my titan too so i can use year 2's thorn (sunbroken titan) before it's nerfed

nighstalkers are solid in pvp and pve still. one shot sucks until they fix it, but the ability to end a super (gunslinger, blade dancer, sith lord, and sunbreaker) never hurts.

i've had more fun playing a hunter this year than anything else and glad i switched over from warlock as a main.

also nightstalkers can shit out some orbs in strikes.

but seriously our team handles sunbreakers by baiting them away from the other 5 players because they can literally wipe a whole team if you don't get some good quality team shooting going on.

played about 6 hours of hard mode today on two characters

not gonna drop any spoilers but it up to oryx - it's pretty straightforward changes and not that difficult with a good team..

with that said we never beat oryx. just got up to the final boss fight on two characters and then spent ~4 hours on oryx. he's not THAT hard but people have to be on their best game. even moreso than normal which allows for some mistakes (mostly due to no revives)

finally beat it on my warlock - got a 314 scout (which i immediately infused into my hung jury) and a 318 chest from Oryx + shards! overall light level is now 313

my buddy swears by the hawksaw and has used it since day 1 of TTK, even getting it up to 310. I didn't really like it when I got mine so its definitely user preference.

Pretty meh normal raid results last night.

303 Hunter Cloak (already had a 304)
302 Raid Rocket Launcher (already had 308)
300 Hunter Gauntlets (already had 310)
20 Moldering shards taken but did not seem to result in me getting anything
Exotic Engram dropped from Warpriest using 3 of coins but it only turned into a 290 helm that I already had.

Did turn in an Exotic from killing a Taken Champion that turned into a 310 Zhalo Supercell

serious lag issues didnt help. oryx is pretty easy once everybody has the mechanics down and latency doesnt keep you from doing things like picking up the relic.

i plan to clean it up tomorrow night, probably make a second run on my alt too

It was NOT Huck's fault. I blame it all on the Wimpywhatever guy whose lag was the primary culprit. We should have just dumped him.

after playing this game almost everyday for over a year, i feel like i am finally over the destiny grind. especially with all the other great games coming out. really the weapon and material nerfs of the last patch did it in for me. i would love to get all these cool new weapons, but dont have enough parts to unlock all the perks or infuse to a light level for high end events.

I am 100% with you here. I am in the exact same boat. I love this game but when Taken King came out and all my friends got it and realized EVERY FUCKING WEAPON WE OWN IS NOW WORTHLESS, half of them gave up. The other half tried to stay on and re-grind (including myself) but eventually stopped playing when COD and Fallout released. It just gets really old. I may go back one day but I just couldn't take the fucking grind any longer. Not to mention that the new light armor + cryptarch engram leveling aspect to raise your light level SUCKED. That was all I could take.

I was able to do Hard Mode run through the daughters, but my team wasn't tight enough to beat Oryx. Many attempts and we never even made it to the Shade. I was able to level up to 312 with the loot from the Challenge Mode.

Swapped gear over to my second hunter to do the Challenge mode and my team was terrible. It took us 2 hours to get past the Totems on a fresh run. Since I had already beaten Totems on Normal I got zilch. Not even a shard.

Will probably try to make a Warpriest run late tonight to get more 320 loot.
