If we get railed by the Loserville Tardinals (I saw that once on a YouTube comment years ago, and it's stuck with me ever since), then it becomes likely that this team folds, and even winnable games at Cuse and home against WF become a struggle.

The BC game was a huge momentum building opportunity for DD, in my opinion. Unfortunately, he made a mess of it.

No current ACC showed this little progress in year 2. Mike London went 8-4 in year 2. Addazio already has 1 bowl. Cryst at Pitt won a bowl in year 2. Fedora did as well.

The bowl barrier is low. We played an awful OOC schedule and get WF at home. Improvement would mean that we're capable of winning at least one other game other than WF, who has a 1st year coach, and making a bowl. That's a pretty low bar.

I admit, I'm curious as to how high he can build up our winless in the conference streak. We should only fire him after he wins the first conference game... unless we think he can come up with a longer winless streak afterwards, then I say keep him on.

I'll continue to watch to see how low the limbo bar can go. Plus it's nice to see our rivals have pity on our fanbase. It's the same reason I find myself rooting for Duke football even now.

I'll look for some symmetry too. TOB had lost what, 14 division road games before winning? If DD loses 14 conference games before winning one that would make his first win WF. I suppose it's possible.

Of course if that happens I expect the next guy to lose 14 games in a row, OOC and all. Make sure the next guy doesn't have OOC opponents that will make us crawl under a rock when we lose to them.

Is that sarcasm? When have we ever beat the top 2-3 teams in the conference? I can remember a few years where we upset 1 deep in a coaches tenure but we've never consistently beat FSU or whoever were the other hot teams in the conference at the time. Losing these games should have been EXPECTED.

Good teams win games and those are good teams. If a 2nd year coach at a middle of the road program goes up against a clemson or FSU and wins, those coaches would have a lot of explaining to do.

Didn't realize the year was over because we lost to the best 3 teams on our schedule. WE ARE 4-3 and you're talking about lack of progress because we lost to some good as teams. Who said we won't make a bowl?

Bottom line, we did well to go 4-0. Look good and exceeded everyones expectations in those 4 games against easy competition. Hell, we were almost ranked. Then, we played the best team in the country and 2 of the best teams in the conference and everyone has given up. Under no circumstances should you have expected us to compete in those games or the next one. Complain if we lose to Wake.

For the record, I was a Doeren supporter, but his recent coaching and responses made me start questioning him. I'm ok with losing to Florida State but then bitching about players faking injuries and then getting smashed the following week makes you look kind of umm, stupid.

The last time Clemson shutout an ACC opponent was guess when? Sixteen years ago. All I want is no more excuses and some improvements on both defense and offense which shouldn't be hard at all. If we would of sucked badly all year I wouldn’t be saying nothing, but we see what this team can do against solid competition and it wouldn't be unreasonable to ask this young team t perform like they did against Florida State all the time, but scoring 14 points against Clemson and BC? Seriously?

Also, this is NC STATE football we’re a rapid like a fucking wolfpack, why? I have no idea, but we are it comes with the territory and if you don’t like it then get out while you can.

Underwood has mental battles he needs to fix, a lot of potential just no confidence but maybe it's a little too late. Him making a few good plays wouldn't changed much anyway. Also, Huxtable should have been fired at the end of last season as he seems like he doesn’t even try.
