It's so much easier for me to be a major dick to people (and sometimes, I enjoy it), but I seem to go out of my way with kindness. While there's instant gratification of "ha, I'm the tuff guy here" when I'm a dick, I feel horrible afterwards and start beating myself up. I find it a challenge to get random people to smile and genuinely say, "Hello!" This satisfies me for much longer than when I'm being an ass... but sometimes, I just don't feel like working hard to achieve this gratification It's those times I feel no remorse for being an ass...

But... I still try to be kind. At work, there's no excuse ever to be an ass... So I suck it up there... But outside of my professional work zone, it's "game on" buddy...

Mmm... Not yet.

I keep finding that when I get involved with groups of religious folks, the people I know and get along with are reasonable folks, but there's inevitably the people who believe the earth is six thousand years old and believe science is a vicious lie created to destroy the church and who completely misunderstand how to function as a normal human being with other human beings that have differing opinions.

So yeah, maybe later on once I feel more settled in around here. I don't wanna put up with those sorts of people right now.

A) the front brake drags after installing bigger tires

2) the front fork is looser now than when I first pipe-wrenched it

off to the shop it goes next week
