My only concern with Davis is a potential clash between him and TJ as to who our primary scorer will be. Davis is going to have to be more willing to pass the ball out of the high post than CJ ever was.

^^^I don't think that is an issue at all. There are plenty of points/scoring opportunities to go around.

Yes, we need multiple scoring options, which is why it's vital we add someone like davis and not have to hope a freshman can adjust to the college game and score 15 ppg.

^^^^ in case you didn't notice, our offense isn't really designed for one guy to be the primary scorer. For two seasons in a row, five guys averaged double-digit scoring. It's not like we're a Va Tech type team where we need an Erick Green to drop at least 20 to have a chance to win.

I don't think Davis is coming to average 20 points a game.

He's wants/needs to go to another school so he can get more exposure. He averaged 17 and 10 at Tulane and nobody knows who the fuck he is. If he had averaged 17 and 10 here...he'd be on draft boards (or at least talked about). Howell just put up 12 and 11 and is listed going in the 2nd round by most projections.

Unfortunately for him, next year's draft class is stacked. But oh well.

So what makes Freeman a better option than Gary Clark? Clark seems to really be coming around lately, and another summer of AAU ball and he will probably start to get a ton of offers.

The only rationale I do see is the relationship with Oak Hill, and continuing to build a relationship.

I think the main thing is that Freeman is currently class of 2013. while Clark is 2014. Also, Clark is seen more as a SF, while Lennard is a PF. Supposedly Freeman already has a college-ready body, but they do appear to be close to the same size.
