Fuck it. He might as well go to UK at this point. Just stay the fuck out of the ACC. UK is going to be so loaded that it might actually backfire on them in terms of chemistry as at least a few high talent guys are going to be averaging like 3-5 ppg and they might start Ryan Harrowing/Rodney Purvising on the bench and causing problems.

^^Howell played a lot more on the perimeter in high school (remember all the 3's he jacked up as a freshman?) than Freeman does. They really aren't very similar at all. Freeman is 6'9 and 245lbs while Howell was a generous 6'8 and in the 220 range before he got injured and fat.

^He's the only prep guy we're still actively recruiting for 2013, so you're looking at transfers or JUCOs from here out.

Howell was ranked around #60 overall as a senior. He was a beast in HS. Freeman is a 3*, a young kid (just turned 17) who may develop into a good player after a few years of hard work. This season he came off the bench for Oak Hill, so it's not like he's ready to step in and contribute right away.

He was measured at 6'9 and 1/4 inches at an AAU event a month or two ago, you can quibble with the accuracy if you want but it gives you a better idea than a scout or rivals profile that hasn't been updated in 6 months or a year.

We're gonna be young, but we'll have some depth. I like the mix of talent too with McAA's in Warren/Lewis/Barber, experience with Turner/Lee/TBDV, and then younger guys who all do different types of things in the front court with Anya/Washington/Freeman.

The thing no one seems to be talking about is that we can have TBDV mentor our 3 young post players - big part of what I feel any success next year hinges on.

Can't be underestimated how much of an advantage this gives us. Vandy is probably second to Warren in terms of value for next season. You could tell the hard work he put in to this season will pay off next year multi-fold.
