Duke, there's a chance I'd be interested in your S2000 (hell even in the SV650), but it's slim. I wouldn't mind checking it out none the less...

Anyway, I can sort of relate to your fears on the 996 engine issues, but I really think they're overblown. If it's going to keep you up at night, just do the IMS upgrade and call it a day. The later models (like the one I'm selling ) have fewer timing chains, 3 vs. 5 - more power, and generally more reliable. That said, I didn't do the IMS thing even on my first 996 when doing a clutch release bearing.

In other news, please don't buy a C5 z06.

Got a 1991 red MR2 turbo w/ 205HP engine (jap retiree) that needs engine work (been sitting) a new alternator (won't hold a charge), suspension work (struts are fuuuuuucked) and the ac compressor needs a charge (currently disassembled and sitting in trunk)

will be listing it somewhere soon.

KA24DE complete engine and transmission, clutch flywheel etc., radiator, radiator hoses, exhaust manifold, full stock exhaust.. etc. aftermarket intake. Clutch gripped well. was aftermarket with maybe 3k miles on it. not sure of brand but it gripped hard. Engine and trans was swapped into car to do 5 speed conversion and original engine was shot (car was originally an auto vert)

minus wiring harness.

I am swapping my 240sx to an rb20det. i was going to turbo this engine but decided to swap instead, this engine has not been beaten on. I will have the engine out in a day or 2. The transmission is currently out.

the car shifted well and the engine ran well. Did not burn oil but it did have some sort of idling issue, just stay on the gas and it would idle. Some sort of sensor I was told that I never had replaced as I bought the car to swap it. had the common cam chain rattle at 4k rpm that cleared up

I want 700 for the complete swap, everything.

Also, engine setup comes with transmission and engine mounts. I think they're aftermarket. Ibwas told they were. All I know is they look newish and are not all cracked up

I'd sell you my Ram for $4000. It won't win any car shows, but it meets all your requirements and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere.

To be honest, I'm not super-anxious to sell it, as I'll be moving sometime next summer and will need to buy another truck, but it would, at least, get it out of my way for the time being. In other words, I'm aware that's not a super attractive price, but neither do I think it's out of sight. It's well under your budget, at least.

not really trying to sell the SV650 (not advertised anywhere else), but I'd let it go for $2500 if anyone wants it.

'02 model with 20k miles, slip-on pipe, bar-end mirrors, undertail eliminator, frame and swingarm sliders, Racetech front springs and heavier fork oil, replaced fork seals and front brake pads. Bridgestone BT-016 tires with lots of tread remaining. Just replaced battery a couple of weeks ago.

Could stand to be re-jetted to account for the pipe if you really want the most out of it, but perfectly fine as-is.

i can take pics tomorrow. it's red, FADED. the rear bumper is brand new and properly painted (some jackass backed into it in a shop's parking lot)

the side view mirrors have white spots from the paint fading, as does the exhaust vent over the engine. there aren't any MAJOR dents or dings; a body shop should be able to take out what is there. the t-tops are intact.

there is a tiny dent in the hood that MAY be rusted; i haven't thoroughly looked at it. it's been parked in the basement of a parking deck for the past year to avoid rain/snow/whatever.

It's a manual (NV4500...granny low, overdrive 5th). V10. I think the rear diff is a D70, and front is D60. It's the 2500 heavy duty...basically, it has the same drivetrain/steering/etc at the Ram 3500. I think the only thing that makes it a 3/4-ton instead of a 1-ton are the spring rates.





Also, I'm picking up the Z06 this weekend, so the S2000 is no-kidding for sale now. $9000 firm. I'll bring it to Raleigh this weekend if anyone is serious about buying it.

wanted: 4.7 motor swap on a '99 grand Cherokee. jeep is partially dismantled already(old motor stripped down to heads) needs to come out and new motor needs to be dropped in . would attempt it myself since i'm already made it this far but without a garage, tools and time i cant get it done. vehicle is at a shop in N. I have a 1997 BMW 540i sport with a 6spd. 105k on the clock. New motor with 6k mile 1 year warranty. Newer tires and some suspension bits. New rotors and pads, plugs, filters, etc. Front bumper was hit in a walmart parking lot and needs to be reclipped. Up for sale is my 97 4runner SR5 white/ tan-
the good- 3.4l V6, auto, 4x4, almost at 210K miles. trans shifts good, 4x4 works well, leather, all power, cd plyr, everything works as it should. clean title. recent brakes in front, fluids flushed recently.

here's the bad- LOTS of body damage, drivers side is torn up pretty good, but doors still open fine, front needs LHS headlight and fender and grille, bumper destroyed, rear bumper shot, and rear liftgate is trashed, but still works fine. seats have tears, and interior is pretty dirty. needs LHS tie-rod. one tire has good tread, the rest need replacement. it runs and drives, albeit a little funky because of the tie-rod being bent. engine could probably use plugs.

with all that said, until the "accident", this was a very reliable vehicle for me. I put 40K miles on it in under 2 years and never had a problem. If you dont mind some damage and dont mind fixing some stuff it could be for you too, or it would be a good donor vehicle for a project. I just dont have time to deal with it right now.

Located outside Wake Forest NC. I'd like to get $1000 obo for it, or trade it with some cash on my end towards a good cond. toyota 85-89 22re 4x4 4runner, or 85-95 x-cab 22re 4x4 P/U.

The cons:

The wheels rub just a tad but only if you cut them ALL the way. A little bit of work with a grinder will fix this, or a more aggressive lift, or smaller tires, etc.
The heated seats don't work. I'm told this is common and not hard to fix.
There's a crack in the rear bumper (pretty minor)
On occasion at an idle the oil pressure gauge will ping. Its a bad sensor and a new one is included, just haven't put it in.
