^^ Yeah, I said "she'd totally be dead" when she jumped out of a moving car going 80. Even though she's a magic half-fairy, she's been subject to trauma so we know she's not invincible. Maybe fairy-blood protects you from rapid deceleration.

Seasons in order from best to worst:

1.) S3 - Russel Edgington, Intro of werewolves
2.) S1 - Rene; Just vampires, no other supernaturals, not too many side plots or extra characters.
3.) S5 - Has potential, too early to tell, but its spread too thin with a lot of unrelated side stories.
4.) S2 - Too much Tara, Stupid Maenad villain.
5.) S4 - Gay witch bullshit, Eric is a pussy all season, too much Tara, Lafayette almost unbearable.

i think the law and order guy will turn out to be the bad guy

Doctore will turn into a badass whenever he gets out of the damn chair

and sookie used her invisible fairy wings to not get hurt

Bill and Eric are going to square off with Russell at the end of the season, outdoors, rain, thunder, lighting, etc

or just throw russell in the gay fairy club, he would never want to leave

just my $.02

from the True Blood FB page, they announced

Quote :
"JUST ANNOUNCED: True Blood will be doing more bad things when it returns for a sixth season. If you could choose, what storylines would you pick for next season? Tell us in the comments below."

and someone suggested

Quote :
"love triangle between Sookie, Alcede and Eric!"

why dont you just throw in Bill and make it a love square?

all that money spent and they cant teach the guys how to hold an assault rifle

that fairy bullshit is almost as lame as last years fairy bullshit, i'm sure they will step it up to be as lame.

sookie diving out of the car at 70 is retarded

rest is ok i guess, bruja stuff isnt nearly as bad as fairy stuff

It's pretty much the least ridiculous part.

the only 'good' season of this show was season 1.

It has been horrible television since then, but it still makes you want to watch.

I finally caught up with the new episodes so I can read the thread without risk of spoiling anything...

The iraq war storyline is horrible to me right now... I really don't like that part of the show.

Otherwise...I'm sure a lot of things will start to tie together later in the season, but right now i'm trying to figure out how

It's not that he was all that great of a character. It is just the natural progression of things in the books. Which this show is clearly not concerned with following.

Killing off Tara once and for all seems like a good season 6 story line

I share Russell's sentiment...

And while the director of this ep gave us an obvious "see Nora has the same necklace" shot, it appeared Salome was wearing the same or similar one.

Meh shifters (but poor Luna)...meh Laffy & mute head Jesus...meh Ifrit...meh vampires killing jason & sookie's parents (and so far I'm kinda annoyed on that one)...meh Tara v Jessica standoff (Jessica was particularly hot last night. I always love her bc she's a natural beauty, but kudos to the makeup crew on her eye makeup. Wow!)

I need an hour of Russell Edgington.

yeah, going straight to Nora with the necklace was a red herring. That is just the symbol of the Authority. That's why Bill instantly knew it was someone from the authority. The Guardian was wearing the same thing (as a pendant on his suit, not a necklace).

I don't care about the shifters really, but Luna is hot.. so that's disappointing. But I'm tired of all of the side stories. They're just not necessary. Give us Russel Edgington vs. the scooby doo gang vs. the authority. I do like anything involving Pam though. So I'm alright with her and Tara. And if this show could use more of anything, it's Jessica.

the tara parts were actually some of the best parts, which says alot about the show but also she is slightly less annoying as a vampire, it seems. but the mixing up true blood to give her something to do as a bartender was just dumb.

I thought it was a pretty good episode. I think they've taken the Iraqi War thing a few episodes too far, and I'm just ready for that to be over. I'm not really liking the shifter side story, but it's not bothering me yet.

I WILL be upset if they blame Sookie's parents' death on the vampires though, but they could just be tying it into supes so far, and Jason doesn't know what "brand" of supe yet.

While I like Russel Edgington, I'm not sure how far along they can drag this, if Bill and Eric only have until dawn to kill him.

i'm sure something will come up where he gets away but they give Bill and Eric more time. Honestly, once there's any proof that Edgington is actually out there, the authority is going to want everyone looking for him, including bill and eric.

My favorite recap, Meredith Woerner from io9, pointed out the supe killers are wearing Obama masks. Take that Game of Thrones Bush head!

i don't understand why any vampires have any interest in co-existing with humans. even if they were outnumbered 1000000 to 1. vampires in this show's mythology are so incredibly overpowered it's crazy. ridiculous speed, ridiculous strength, some can fly, and you can hypnotize people into doing/forgetting whatever you want. screw mainstreaming.

I agree with what you're saying, but there is a fatal flaw if there was a "war" of some sorts. They have to sleep during daylight hours and can't enter someone's house without being invited. So, if I'm planning on fighting them my strategy is: seek them out during the day when they are vulnerable, then go home before dark. But that doesn't make for very good TV

Their werewolf minions and glammered human minions don't have those limitations. So much for your "plan".

I for one enjoy how powerful they're depicted in this show. Much better than "killed by a pencil" Buffy horseshit.

Also, they could just set your house on fire at night if they really wanted to kill you. Or one non-vamp breaks in and invites the rest of them in.

Except you can only invite into your home; so inviting into someone else's wouldn't work.

and these vamps can be killed by pencils.

Yeah except they get around the "invite" thing 90% of the time on this show by just glamouring someone in the house into inviting them in.

Or by owning the house, but who in the hell knows how that works. Could a vampire who owns a bank just walk into every house that has a mortgage through his bank?

I'm pretty sure a human can invite a vampire into someone else's house once you're inside.

whoever the chick was digging up Russell Edgington had BRIGHT red hair...

you can see it in hanging out the edge of her cloak hood...

my bets are with the Texan...

either that...or one of the authority somehow got Jessica involved to find out about the Nan Flannigan killing or to protect Bill's reign as king or something...she's still just a kid so she can be persuaded to do a lot of shit...this is a theory I could discuss at length...

but my bets are still on the Texan

Or they just fucked up with filming and didn't mean to reveal the hair color of the extra that was in a cloak.

i'm trying to figure out who you are referring to as the "texas chick"

I think the person who dug him up was the main woman with the authority guy

I was thinking Salome too, but that seemed a bit straightforward for them to choose. I don't know who the texas chick is either. I thought the one with Stan in Texas had black hair, if there was a redhead, I can't place her.

Unless y'all are talking about the old lady authority member? I thought about it being her for a bit, but she didn't have the same necklace as Salome and Nora.

Maybe they're all plotting against The Guardian. But Rosalyn's got the authority pin, and not the necklace.

It seems too easy to be Salome, but I can't see her being innocent in all of this. She pushed the deadline up for Eric and Bill to find Russell Edgington, she was Nora's mentor, she's got the necklace, she's got a history of being deceitful... but those are all reasons the show wants us to think it's her.

On the other hand, I think it'd be an easy way out if they pin it on any other member of the authority, since they've already killed the boy, and black authority chancellor dude is getting twitchy too.

So, I think it's none or all of the authority against Roman. Maybe it's a were who hates Alcide/Eric/Bill/Sookie. Maybe it's tied to Debbie Pelt?

/speculation
