i like Woodhead b/c he can be used on Bye weeks for either position, but that's about it. though he's continually getting more looks diminishing Green-Ellis' worth and Tate's 10/20/2010 3:57:14 PM |

Thinking about dropping Tolbert for Chris Ivory's short term value. I'm already stashing Brown with Addai out so I don't have any roster depth. With Matthews back I don't know how much more Tolbert can do especially if he starts to lose his goal-line job.
Actually now that I check, Marion Barber is on the waiver wire and I have two RB Flex spots with Felix Jones taking up one this week. Would it be worth losing my 2nd waiver position to grab barber and start them both? I also have Miles Austin so I'm worried about having so many Dallas players.

The commissioner of one of my leagues is now 0-6, and he's actually trying to win. I kind of feel bad for him. Not only is he last in points scored, but he also has the most points scored against him by a huge amount.
On a better note, I'm 5-1, 4-2, 4-2.

Dallas Clark out indefinitely.
Quote : | "Clark (hand/wrist) is out indefinitely and plans to go for second and third opinions to determine how long he'll be sidelined, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Spin: The Colts acknowledged on Tuesday that he has a wrist or hand injury, but didn't give any specifics. This report doesn't have many more details, but sounds ominous." |

Add Clark to my injury list, along with Vick, Floyd, McFadden, and DeShawn Jackson. Glad I picked up Heath Miller last week in anticipation of Ben's return and the upcoming Colts bye week. I actually started Miller in the flex slot b/c he was a better option than my other healthy running back/receiver.
W/Clark moving to IR I have a slot I am inclined to use on a Week 8 QB (I have Flacco and Vick, both will be on byes). Should I pick up Bradford vs Carolina or Hasselbeck @ Oakland?

I was just offered LT for Randy Moss. Do I take the trade? If so, do I move now or ask him to wait until after the bye?
We start 3 WR and 2 RB. My RB2 has been very questionable all season with Knowshon Moreno injured. My WRs aren't flashy, but they've been getting the job done.
Randy Moss, Steve Smith, Mike Williams (SEA & TB), Pierre Garcon, Johnny Knox Id' Arian Foster, Marshawn Lynch, Knowshon Moreno, Shonn Greene, Thomas Jones
^ I'd probably go with Bradford, but I feel like it's a coin flip.

I wasn't doubting Tolbert over Matthews, but if he didn't sneak in one TD last week I would have had nearly zero production out of him. Once I saw Marion on waivers it seemed like an instant swap because Dallas' defunct offense aside and even if their situations are exactly the same (which they're not), I could tie them together via flex and get points for both Felix' carries and Barber's goal line/short yardage carries when the former's fat ass gets tired and starts puking. :o . Tolbert was a great pickup for me, but if it's time for me to cut ties then so be it.
I can see Stewart throwing out some numbers against SF. Matt Moore is back too isn't he? 10/20/2010 9:22:26 PM |

^yeah Tolbert has been top 20 RB so far this season, but the gurus all seem to think he will fade into the background.... Either way I wouldnt drop him just yet because A) Ryan Mathews has an ongoing high ankle injury B) Ryan Mathews is still an unproven rookie in terms of stamina C) Ryan Mathews isn't a bowling ball in goal line situations 10/20/2010 9:35:00 PM |

Pick a QB:
Favre vs GB Eli vs Dallas Kolb vs Ten
I am going with Eli right now as Kolb does not have DeSean and is facing the Titans. Dallas is sucking so I am hoping the Giants D will give Eli a lot of good field position. As for Favre, well I am actually thinking of dropping his ass, but wonder if he'll show up for this GB game. 10/21/2010 7:59:28 AM |

ajgoff1286 All American 2585 Posts user info edit post |
^^ I'd go with Eli, they are going to have to score a lot to keep up with the Cowboys offense.
^ I would go Matthews, just with the hope that he can get a lot of yards, and he will have more opportunities than Crabtree or Jones. Jax run defense looked good against CJ2K last week exPcept for the 30+ yard td run late in the 4th.
Pick 1:
Orton v Oak Big Ben v Miami
Pick 1:
Vernon Davis v Car Todd Heap v Buf
This is purely matchup based, Carolina hasnt given up a TD to a TE yet this year, and Buffalo gives up the most to opposing Tight Ends Pick 2:
Greg Jennings v GB Ryan Torain v Chi Hines Ward v Mia

And in my other league, Felix Jones or Marshawn Lynch? (leaning towards Jones)
Also, I know Gates has not practiced yet, so I'm planning on picking up a TE for this week (fingers crossed Gates does play, but I want to plan just in case). Which of these guys would you take?
Winslow, H Miller, Heap, or Benjamin Watson?

The word is that Gates wasn't hurt as badly as initially thought in Sunday's game at St. Louis, and there's a chance he could be ready to play next Sunday against the New England Patriots, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
"It means a ton ... with what we do with Gates, that's one that could have an affect on our approach to a game more than the others." quarterback Philip Rivers, according to the Union-Tribune.
Gates has started 85 consecutive regular-season games. While Gates may not miss any game time, the possibility remains the Chargers could be without wide receiver Malcom Floyd, who left the St. Louis game in the fourth quarter with a hamstring strain. " |

Drew Brees for Andre Johnson
My team is sitting at 3-3 and I need to make something happen if i hope to make the playoffs. ^ The Pats keep finding ways to get Woodhead the ball, he won't wow you but he'll get you ~7 point per week. Don't drop Bess he has 27 targets in the last 3 games. All of Roy Williams' points come off of TDs and those are hard to predict, he's a big risk/reward guy. I'd drop Gaffney for Royal if it's for the long term. In Denver you want to own Lloyd, Royal, Gaffney, in that order.
Pick 2 Turner D. Williams Mathews
Pick 2 Lloyd Jennings D. Bowe Knox
Pick 1 from the remainder

Turner and Williams NE will pass all over SD and run up the score so I expect they will abandon the run like they have all season
Lloyd (for reason stated above) and Jennings (no Finley = texa$ for Jennings)
