No, West Elm is at a place called the Metropolitan. That's near Uptown.

Cowfish is awesome, I recommend eating at the bar though because it takes forever to get a table. Highly recommend the bison burger.

Yeah, it's a pretty awesome restaurant. I would recommend staying in the Southpark area, unless you just want to be in Uptown. Where's your conference at?

Commute wise, I would stay in Uptown then at the Aloft or somewhere close to the Epicentre. Southpark is going to be hike, although you just get on I-77 so it's not horrible if it comes to that.
