well, the woman with the hearing said she learned to control it. And she actually had headphones blaring in her ears the whole time - so loud sound is not really the problem, but being able to control which sounds you hear is key. But i did like the tuning fork as torture. That is one of those really strong, solid sounds that's not necessarily loud, but when it's close to your head, you can practically feel it vibrating your skull.

i know she learned to control it. i was hoping that maybe they would go with an edge that sylar's ability to take on powers is limited. greed getting the best of him kind of situation. and that one power being the beginning of a slow decline in him...

That could still happen, but he isn't going to kill Peter.

Maybe the power he stole from Dale will come back to be used against him again later if he escapes Peter?

I'm thinking that he'll try to throw (telekinetically) Peter or someone and it won't work. I bet it's temporary!

so was the chick impersonating bennet's wife there the whole time after bennet was memory wiped? or just in that last scene? ie, did the haitian really not wipe her memory or did the shapeshifter just say that to try to get something from bennet?

^ The first time you see the wife it is actually her. The shape shifter enters the room with her so she obliviously can't be two people at the same time.

I think it will be too, but if he has Claire's healing power, why would there be a scar? He would have to choose to heal naturally, for some strange reason, for there to be a scar, wouldn't he?

I agree that the first time was definitely Bennets wife, but I don't know for sure that she couldnt be two people at the same time.

When she went to Issac's flat I'm 95% sure she made the dead body on the bed disappear, so it seems she can change the perception of areas around her in addition to appearing different herself. I don't think it's shape shifting as much as some sort of illusion creation or maybe an aoe messing with ppls heads/vision?

Can anyone confirm that she did indeed make the bed look normal even though the dead, ugly, bloody bitch was laying on it.

PS. I'm glad Simone stayed dead.

The police were there looking for a dead Simone. Nathan had an anonymous call placed to the police that she was dead. When a live Simone came walking through the door in front of the police, they quit looking. The new chick had no ability to hide the body, just showed the cops a live Simone and they left.

yeah, but IIRC, as soon as the cops left and the fake-simone walked in the door, they looked towards the bed and the real simone was gone, right?
did the real, dead simone every show back up in the bed?

^^the question wasn't weather or not she made the body permanently disappear; it was did she make it look like the body wasn't there when she was posing as simon.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that she didn't make her disappear, but some how made it seem as though she wasn't there. After the cops left, they had a cut to the bed she was lying on and it looked empty, then the image of the room did some kind of wavy thing, and her body was there again. I'm guessing she has some kind of ability to alter peoples perceptions of what they see and hear rather than actually changing shape.

I was pretty pissed at Peter for not looking around Mohinder's apt while invisible. "oh look, a struggle, things all over the place! Think I'll NOT be invisible so the bad guy can catch me."

Eh, I'm coming to the conclusion that Sylar and Peter are exactly the same characters with exactly the same motivation.

Sylar is just less diluted and freely admits he's doing what he's doing for personal gain.

Peter is a whiny little bitch who wants people to think he's amazing and worth a damn and he feels being some kinda of super hero is his means to an end.

"Wah, why don't people like me?! I'm so good and nice, I want to save the world even though the only other thing I can think about is my annoying girlfriend that I will get killed"

Eh, I think he is that flat.

If he wanted to save NY he'd get the fuck out of dodge and stay away. But no, he has to stick around in some lame ass attempt to help when, for all he knows, he's the damn reason the city blows up in the first place.

Just my opinion, of course.

hypothetically speaking, peter's character seems like the type of person that would willfully take his own life if you told him it was the only way to save everyone else. sylar would not.

however, i do believe that the two characters are very similar in many ways. i just hope they don't kill off sylar, he's my favorite character.
