Perfect ball by Nani. I can't believe that pussy didn't roll around on the ground instead of crossing that ball when he was tripped up.

Speaking of pussies, Arsenal is one down to my boys. C'mon you Toffees.

re: illegal streams
I've seen a bunch of things on twitter saying the same thing - it's bullshit because even if I had every available cable subscription offered, I'd still miss out on a number of games. How much lost revenue is this for them really?

Just saw that first Rooney goal and aimorris, I usually got your back but that was just a sweet individual offensive play.

It might have not have been great defending, however 99% off all the strikers in the world wouldn't even be able to put that ball on target.

It was a quality finish by Rooney, I'm not denying that. But against good defending, he wouldn't have even had the opportunity and space to bring the ball down like that. That's shitty defending, regardless of the finish that followed. It was just assumed that I didn't think Rooney had a nice finish because I wasn't sucking him off immediately like the rest of the fanboys

[Edited on February 1, 2011 at 7:48 PM. Reason : p.s. - thanks for having my back. ABU 4 life]

it was a class touch to bring the ball down, but any time a goalie kicks the ball straight to a wide open striker, thats not good defending.

Spurs dealt yet another injury blow. Modric had his appendix removed and is now in doubt for Milan in 2 weeks.

Talk about frustrating, NOBODY can stay healthy on this team.

There's no way he'll be able to play in less than 6 weeks. When they remove your appendix, they cut through muscles that take forever to heal, and there's no way to rehab them.

Lucky you guys managed to keep Kranjcar then

pg 39, by me:

Quote :
"that's probably part of it, but they've been talking about balancing the books for a while, and that was always his plan even before the FIFA Fair Play rules came about.

I would imagine that balancing the books would come natural to him because he didn't get handed his oil empire like the Mansours did. He had to build his from the ground up, and had to make make hard decisions to get there, whereas they were pretty much born into ownership of a money-printing factory.

It's also why you haven't seen Chelsea still dropping stupid money for any and everything they can - even when they were buying their way to the title, they still made sound investments, and they never ever ever overpaid players. Roman knows the value of a dollar (pound), whereas the Mansours have absolutely no grasp on the idea of not overpaying."

I would just like to correct my mistake for posterity's sake

Looks like homeland security just seized the domain. Apparently the site was still up if you used the IP address. They registered a new domain within hours and are back online.

Luckily Spurs knew this would happen and have been stockpiling midfielders. Lennon, Kranjcar, Huddlestone, Pienaar, Jenas, Van der Vaart(?), Palacios plus Bale and Modric if they get healthy. Modric was playing out of his mind recently but these guys should be more than adequate to hold them up for awhile.

this is probably the most defensive team i have ever seen fielded today by liverpool. even more so than man city aha

dalglish is starting 6, yes 6 defenders! wtf

and throw in lucas as a holding midfielder so they have 7 defensive players, with the gk as 8..a lot of work to do for meireles, gerrard, and kuyt to get some goals

yeah, it's an odd lineup - Agger/Aurelio/Kelly/Johnson are all combo defense/midfield type roles though

still pretty defensive though, especially against a team like Stoke that will bunker down most of the time

I'm seeing a lot of people referring to it as a 3-4-2-1.

I just got back to my comp and was pleasantly surprised to see Crouch with the early strike.

We have no other option but to collect 3 points from this match if we want to stay in the race for a CL spot. NO MORE DRAWS.

[Edited on February 2, 2011 at 3:20 PM. Reason : That 3rd kit is so damn hot. I wish they would pull it out more.]

Obinna has the best strike of the week so far. Ripped one in off his left foot, it was a rocket from a good ways out. This Blackpool / WHU game is really entertaining.

One goal vs Stoke does not equal Liverpool "being back".

Defoe has been playing rotten today.

He is not in sync with what the midfield is doing. VDV and Lennon have given him ridiculous service numerous times and he's not even getting the ball settled at his feet.

Interesting about Carroll...two different sides to the story now.

He claims he was run out of Newcastle by Ashley (who apparently wanted the money) but he didn't really want to leave.
