looking at both sides and the one endzone i can see, i'd say they'd be lucky if 10,000 were there

60k without the Blue Zone and the other end zone had more people. 25% of the stadium is about 8 of the sideline sections upper and lower level. There are also 10-12 rows that you can't see under the overhang where a lot of people were sitting to stay in the shade.

The sidelines hold about 25k a piece and the football center end zone is about 10k. The Blue Zone is a little over 3k.

500 between the upper levels and end zones is a gross underestimation. And I'm not saying there's anywhere close to 6000 people under the overhang but it's just an example of how the pictures don't tell the whole story.

Hate to break it to you but State also estimates attendance just like UNC and almost every other school in the country. Some schools just use round estimates while others use crooked numbers.

i know it's not usually the case for spring games but tickets are scanned in the regular season. there's no excuse for an "estimation" of attendance time and time again. the willful suspension of disbelief over there is pathetic.
