Cardio and Abs, 90 minutes

I have a brachial plexus injury (appears to be stemming from my rotator cuff) which is keeping my left arm partially numb, couldn't lift weights =(

i think i might do a little chest and shoulder work, and then i'm just gonna go play some golf (which is something, cause not only do i always walk the course, it also stretches me out from my core all the way through my upper body)

Ran 4 miles at 5:30 this morning at the gym, then did 200 crunches, 200 bicycles, 200 pushups.

Went back to the gym at 6:30pm and got on the elliptical for 45 minutes. I will be a size 4 again if it kills me.

exercise plays a big role, but nutrition plays a greater

Jennifer, are you doing any actual weight training? Contrary to popular woman theory, it's not going to make you "manly", as you lack the hormones.

while ive been waiting for my foot to heal, ive been trying to do some body weight workouts

I want to get back in shape so I can do some mountain biking, kayaking and running agin. Haven't done that stuff since my ACL surgery two years ago and I think my knee's are in good condition again to start.

^5 Yep, I'm doing weight training too - it was just a cardio day. I'm also staying mostly away from carbs and refined sugars, making sure to have little snacks so I don't overeat, and drinking water like it's going out of style.

elliptical for almost an hour. Feel surprisingly well. Switching to a lower resistance and incline for the first time in a while and I like it a lot better then jacking it up like I've been doing for the past year or so. Whodathunk.

I've managed to shed about 15 pounds in the last 2 months, and I'd really like to shed another 10 by the middle of October. That would put me at the leanest I've been in 3 years if I can pull it off.

Getting older sucks. Dieting never seemed this hard before.

even though they are small, you should give them a rest. they get used a lot as secondary muscles in different exercises, and if you are also working them every night theyll never fully recover.
