Imagine leaving early and hearing that in the parking lot or after you get home. Bitches.

man, first canes game I ever attended. I gotta say, even though we lost I had a hell of a time. I went to pee right before the shootout and all of the chicks in the stalls were screaming "Go Canes!"...it was awesome.

My thoughts: http://faceoffcircle.net/2008/02/19/the-greatest-loss-of-the-season/

SOUTHEAST GP W L OTL PTS
Carolina 63 30 28 5 65
Washington 60 28 26 6 62
Atlanta 61 29 28 4 62
Florida 62 27 29 6 60
Tampa Bay 59 25 28 6 56

WHY DO WE HAVE SO MANY GAMES IN HAND AGAIN? I hate the schedule makers

Upcoming Games Cheat Sheet:

WEDNESDAY
NY Islanders at Washington

THURSDAY
Atlanta at Carolina
Boston at Florida

Also, I have an extra Eric Staal figurine. If anybody wants to trade a Brind'Amour for it, PM me.

Awesome game. I had just told someone that they might as well start some fights so at least the crowd would be happy when that fight broke out. The two goals immediately after the fight really had everyone pumped.

It was the first time I've sat in the Lexus Club area. Pretty nice. Leather seats, two food buffets with some pretty good food, a dessert buffet in the third round, and lots of free drinks since a lot of the people around me weren't using their alcohol tickets.

The leather club seats in one of the endzones. If you ever sit in the regular club section you'll know about the Champions Club because you can't walk through it, which means you sometimes have to walk nearly a full lap around the arena to get to your seats.

It's for corporate suits and other people who want to be separated from the little people and need more luxury like carpeting, nicer bathrooms, and a full size bar (well the last part I guess I can understand).

What's the difference?

Club Ledge
$150
Champions Club
$175
Champions Club Preferred $185

I think it's all on where you sit and food. Club Ledge just gets you in the 2nd level. I think CHampions Club gets your food, and preferred gets you food and a leather seat.

Free food, free non-alcohol drinks, and two free alcohol drinks per person. They had two buffets with BBQ from Carolina BBQ Co, Shrimp/Crab meat jambalaya, pizza, pastas, sandwiches, etc. One of my friends got the tickets from his work so it was all free to me.

If you can somehow turn your mouth into a reverse cornucopia then you can eat your money's worth.

If not, go with someone who gets free tickets from work.

I thought Club Ledge was the seats on the other end of the Club level...the ones with the TVs at every seat.

That's club level. Club level is just the 2nd level. But throughout the level are different kinds of seats, some have TVS, some you get food, some you get leather chairs, etc.

Club Ledge is the end between 224-230, they have a big bar and tvs built in front of all the seats. Regular club seats on the sidelines in 200 level dont have TVs, but they do have in-seat service. Champions club is between 208-215, and is exclusive, you cant walk through it if you dont have a ticket, unlike the ledge. They have the buffets, exclusive bar with vouchers, and all that.

Yep, good comeback by the Isles. Thanks to Joe Vasicek for a bank in goal to tie it in the third. Tomorrow night against Atlanta and Saturday against Washington are going to be MASSIVE.

Ask and ye shall receive, the kick rule has been changed:

Quote :
"While the Hurricanes didn't make a deal at the GM meetings this week in Florida — "A lot of talk, a lot of huddling and not a whole lot done," general manager Jim Rutherford said Wednesday as he returned to Carolina — there was one big change at the meetings, and it had something to do with the Hurricanes.

Andrew Ladd's second goal against the Boston Bruins last week, which deflected off his skate and over Bruins goalie Alex Auld, helped prompt a new standard for kicked-in goals.

As long as the player's skate remains on the ice, he can turn his skate or even slide his skate to redirect the puck. That guideline replaces the "distinct kicking motion" previously used for rulings.

"When you look at Ladd's goal," Rutherford said, "that's the definition of a good goal."

That change is immediate. Two other changes will take effect next season: Faceoffs after shots that deflect off the goalpost or crossbar and out of play will remain in the offensive zone, and all faceoffs after penalties will take place in the power-play team's offensive zone.

The NHL also considered moving to one-minute penalties in overtime, Rutherford said, but with no decision in that area."

Keeping faceoffs from post/crossbar shots in the offensive zone is fucking stupid, but I like the fact that the kick rule will be more black/white (assuming there are HD feeds that can determine contact with the ice).

i think it means you can kick a puck in if its just sitting in the crease but you can move your skate towards the puck if its coming towards you

i don't have a problem with that
