I'm going to grab some Bojangles for the homeless this morning. I know they're going to grab the bag and throw it back at me so I'm going to film it. Then I'm going to post it online to generate anti-homeless sentiment.

But it's absolutely true a handful of people, on Facebook for instance, would say "well at least he tried! What have you done to make the world a better place lately?"

Would I be deserving of respect? Absolutely not. The Internet is absolutely chock-full of false benevolence and it does real damage to actual trust/goodwill.

This incident just happened to involve some high-profile people but that doesn't change the fact we all know exactly where they were coming from. Their mission was a success specifically because they didn't deliver aid they delivered a headline.

Was anyone on Greta's boat qualified or authorized to deliver aid? I am reminded of all the people during Hurricane Helene who claimed local/state/federal government employees were preventing them from delivering supplies to the NC mountains.

They were not authorized to be there, they were not trained, and they were not equipped to deal with the conditions and so... they were simply in the way. In many cases they themselves ended up in trouble and accomplished the opposite; taking resources away from actual relief workers because they then needed to be rescued. This is no different.

In fact I recall the response from "the left" to be one of ridicule because the people in question, the people getting in the way, were mostly from church groups. In this case "the right" were the ones who were outraged because they couldn't deliver aid.

Funny how people play favorites depending on the situation isn't it?

The left = jews bad! church groups delivering water bad!
The right = government bad! FEMA bad! activists bad!
