([46] 3.26 minute segments) from Peace College to Falls River area. Falls of Neuse cleared up like magic at New Hope Church Rd.

yeah...there was barely a soul on the road on Six Forks past Anderson Dr....

however...it took me 3.5 hours to get that far...

i just 4x4'ed it around a stuck service van and a bunch of stranded cars...

there were people walking around EVERYWHERE though

It took well over an hour to go about three miles from work to a hotel.

My coworker and I left at the same time, and live near each other. I got home in 30 minutes. It took her over three hours.

Our difference? I got off Glenwood at Lead Mine. I assume she took Glenwood all the way (toward 540)

are we still worried about a huge ice potential? Lost in all of WRAL's traffic discussion is the changeover and if we are expecting significant ice

Took an hour to get from crossroads to Holly Springs. I consider myself lucky now. I think I left just in time as snow started piling up once I made it off 440.

Boss left after me and made it two miles in two hours. He had to get a hotel

Took me 3.5 hours from Durant road area to the south side of down town. Fucking exhausting. It was nice cutting through oakwood and wood crest and the such. But the main roads just were mega fucking Womp.

5 minutes to showtime, downtown Durham is a ghost town, Durham is under a state of Emergency, and Book of Mormon refuses to offer refunds.

So, is there a schedule for what more precipitation we can expect? Radar looks fuzzy.

not to mention it was gradual...not a sudden 3 inches like here.

During this storm, it didn't snow in Greenville at night, it started yesterday morning around 9. It snowed about 5" in 5 hours, very similar to what has destroyed Raleigh today. The difference is, the east was prepared and listened to warnings and forecasts...schools were out, bases closed, etc. before the first flake. It also helps to have less dense population as the triangle.

hell of a difference a letter makes

my brother is a season ticket holder there and he said that's always been the deal, and they make sure you know the terms when you give them $$$.

They should offer refunds, but only if you go there tonight to get it

They posted on their twitter that its the show's decision to cancel, not the venues. A lot of people are pointing out that Broadway never cancels a scheduled show or offers refunds. They somehow forget that Broadway also has a public transportation system that can get anyone from anywhere in NYC to their door through magical underground tubes, not log jammed highways.

I hope the place is empty except for 6 people who just boo the whole damn time.
Either that or they just let anyone in who shows up at the door, ticket or not.

yeah, I have 4 season tickets for Thursday nights. It sucks that we have to eat the loss for Book of Mormon tomorrow (unless there is some miraculous recovery during the day tomorrow)

Yeah, everything is going to have those terms. It'd be nice if they would eat some box office sales to not piss off their customers and endanger their employees, though.

The same shit happened with Book of Mormon in Atlanta for their ice storm a couple weeks ago and they cancelled that night and did another show. https://twitter.com/TheFoxTheatre/status/428618078646054912

I opened a disupte with Amex. Hopefully that pans out. They're usually better than most on this kind of thing.

I guess I'll quit being angry for now. Time to crack into the snow bourbon and have some milk sandwiches.

that and the east is flatter than a white girl's ass, so it's harder to get stuck driving anywhere

Yes. Like it or not, RDU is a major population center with no public transportation to speak of. Companies should have maybe closed at 11 but with the rate the snow was falling and roads were deteriorating it was gonna happen.

I'll admit that the only reason I went in to work is because I only needed to drive 3 miles to the Blue Line and then take that all the way in to work. There's no way in hell I would have tried driving from uptown Charlotte back to Pineville, but 3 miles to the train station, 1 of them being flat interstate? no problem. Having said that, I'm not even going to try and get out tomorrow.
