We actually played pretty well for the majority of the half, I thought. That last Louisville drive and not scoring on our first drive were real back breakers. Best the defense had looked in a while

absolutely awful time out management in the 2nd half. and that goalline play calling was inexcusable as well.

to me, that appears to be unpreparedness. you should have a go to play call on 1st and goal from 1 (and it should be a run play). and you should have a play call for 3rd and long on defense with the opponent inside FG range.

because of how we lost, this is just as bad to me. against BC we flat out were outplayed. of course that can be blamed on the coaches and stuff too. but this week is almost entirely on the coaching staff. then again, it's quite possible i'm irrational right now and will think and see things more clearly in the coming days.

I'll start the apologist argument.

The game was never winnable. That many players (real ballers) sitting out made the game unwinnable. DD did an amazing job coaching up backups that never had to talent to start and came close to winning the game. The progress from last week is amazing, so don't worry about losing another ACC game. These are the best teams in the conference, hell Loserville has the best defense on the continent. We will definitely beat two more.

i do think 2 more wins is still doable. might be an uphill battle. but we've got bye week before a winnable game @Cuse. and then Wake at home is a game we should be favored in. @UNC to close things out is also a winnable game, although i assume we'll be underdogs
